Kalinangan at pagkatuto ang nakalaan sa mga mag-aaral ng Mababang Paaralan ng Malasin ngayong Agosto kasunod ng pagbisita at paghiram ng mga aklat pampanitikan ni G. Christian Salvador sa Schools Division of San Jose City Library Hub ngayong Martes, Agosto 11.

Kabilang sa mga pamagat na nakalinyang basahin para sa mga aktibidad ng naturang paaralan ngayong buwan ang 'Ang Kalasag ni Kara: Nang Pumutok ang Bulkan' ni Genaro R. Gojo Cruz; 'Lagot! Baka may Lepto sa Baha!' na isinulat ni Dr. Luis P. Gatmaitan at inilarawan ni Leo Kempis Ang; 'Ang Digmâ' na isinulat ni Jose Jorge Letria at iginuhit ni Andre Letria; 'Dalawang Bayani ng Bansa' nina Rene O. Villanueva at Joel Jason O. Chua; at 'Bonggang-bonggang Batang Beki' ni Rhandee Garlitos at iginuhit ni Tokwa Salazar Peñaflorida.

Akma ang mga aklat sa makabuluhang selebrasyon ng Buwan ng Wikang Pambasa na Filipino at Buwan ng Kasaysayan ngayong Agosto.

Sa patuloy na pagsusulong ng pagbasa sa mga paaralan, inaasahang mapabubuti ang antas ng literasiya sa komunidad at kalaunan, sa bansa.

Ikinagagalak ng SDO San Jose City Library Hub na maging bahagi ng mga gawain ng ating mga paaralan para sa 2026 National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) noong Hulyo.

Maraming salamat sa iba't ibang paaralan sa pagtangkilik ng mga aklat na tungkol sa DRRM para sa inyong reading activities.

Library Hub, San Jose City - CID-LRMDS awarded certificates to the twelve (12) recipient school libraries which have participated in the recently concluded monitoring of the implementation of school library programs held from July 28-31, 2026.

Special Citations were also given to the following school libraries, principals, and library-in-charge for demonstrating significant improvements in terms of individual areas in the Standards for Philippine School Libraries:
-San Jose City National High School (Collection Management, Utilization and Services, Physical Facilities)
-A. Pascual Elementary School (Physical Facilities)
-Kaliwanagan Elementary School (Physical Facilities)
-Lomboy Elementary School (Physical Facilities)
-Pinili Elementary School (Collection Management)

The awarding of certificates was held during the 6th Management Committee Meeting on August 5, 2026.

The Division LRMDS extends its gratitude to the school heads, libraries-in-charge, Learning Resource, English, Filipino, and reading coordinators, and all school personnel for the successful conduct of the monitoring of the implementation of school library programs in the twelve recipient schools of Supplementary Learning Resources (SLRs) from July 28 to 30, 2026 through SDM No. 121, s. 2026.

The activity aimed to ensure that SLRs provided to functional school libraries through DepEd Order No. 23, s. 2023 are ready for utilization. This follows Get Readi: Training on School Library Management and Operations for School Library Personnel (Memorandum SDO-CID-2025-107) held in November and December last year, which capacitated school libraries-in-charge in collection management and library programs. The next phase of these activities involves ensuring the optimal utilization of these SLRs.

Recipient schools of these SLRs are: A. Pascual Integrated School, Abar 2nd Elementary School, Balacat Elementary School, Calaocan Elementary School, Ciriaco Esteban Elementary School, Kaliwanagan Elementary School, Lomboy Elementary School, Nieves Pabalan Elementary School, Pinili Elementary School, San Jose City National High School, San Jose East Central School, and San Jose West Central School.

Dr. Sheralyn M. Allas, LR Education Program Supervisor, headed the monitoring activities.

Napuno ng mga ngiti at pagkatuto ang SDO San Jose City Library Hub at anteroom nito na kinalalagyan ng The Book Nook San Jose City sa pagbisita ng mga mag-aaral sa elementarya ng Golden Success University (GSU) ngayong ika-27 ng Hulyo 2026.

Nakilahok ang mga mag-aaral sa serye ng mga aktibidad na sinimulan sa isang orientation, at sinundan ng storytelling at free reading sessions. Naunang dumalo sa pang-umagang sesyon ng programa ang pangkat ng mga nasa ikaapat hanggang ikaanim na baitang. Samantala, sa hapon naman nakipagkulitan ang mga nasa kindergarten hanggang baitang tatlo.

Patuloy ang pagtanggap ng The Book Nook San Jose City sa mga katulad na inisyatiba tungo sa mas malawak at higit na epektibong pagsusulong ng adbokasiya ng pagbasa. Sama-sama nating itaguyod ang paghubog ng literasiya sa tulong ng ating mga !

Nakiisa ang SDO San Jose City Library Hub sa pagdiriwang ng 43rd National Children's Book Day kahapon, Hulyo 21, sa pamamagitan ng isang storytelling activity sa pangunguna ni Cyriene Jade Babasoro, mag-aaral mula sa San Jose West Central School.
