The BJMP San Jose District Jail headed by ๐‰๐‚๐ˆ๐๐’๐ ๐๐„๐‹๐Œ๐€๐‘ ๐Œ ๐Œ๐€๐‹๐ˆ๐Œ๐€๐“๐€, District Jail Warden participated in the conduct of National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) as part of its commitment to disaster preparedness and safety awareness. The activity was conducted to enhance the readiness of both jail personnel and PDL in responding effectively to earthquake emergencies and other disaster-related incidents.

During the drill, participants practiced the standard โ€œDuck, Cover, and Holdโ€ procedure, followed by an orderly evacuation to designated safe areas. The activity also served as an opportunity to assess the facility's emergency response protocols, coordination mechanisms, and the preparedness of personnel in ensuring the safety and security of all individuals within the jail facility.

Through the conduct of the NSED, SJDJ reinforces the importance of disaster risk reduction and management by promoting vigilance, preparedness, and the proper ex*****on of emergency procedures. The successful implementation of the drill highlights the facility's continuous efforts to foster a culture of safety and resilience among personnel and PDL.

In line with the celebration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day the personnel of BJMP San Jose District Jail led by ๐‰๐‚๐ˆ๐๐’๐ ๐๐„๐‹๐Œ๐€๐‘ ๐Œ ๐Œ๐€๐‹๐ˆ๐Œ๐€๐“๐€, District Jail Warden demonstrated their commitment to community service by participating in a bloodletting activity organized by the Mindoro Masonic Lodge No. 157 in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross.

The activity aimed to help replenish the local blood supply and provide life-saving assistance to patients in need of blood transfusions and other medical treatments. Through voluntary blood donation, SJDJ personnel extended a meaningful gift that may help save lives and bring hope to individuals facing medical emergencies.

More than a civic activity, the bloodletting drive reflected the spirit of solidarity, compassion, and selfless service, values that embody the true essence of freedom and nation-building. As the nation commemorates the sacrifices of Filipino heroes, SJDJ personnel honored their legacy by serving the community beyond the call of duty and contributing to the welfare of others through a simple yet impactful act of kindness.

Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan.โ€ The celebration brought together representatives from the Local Government Unit of San Jose, uniformed personnel, civic organizations, and various sectors of the community in honoring the nation's hard-earned freedom and rich history.

The activity served as a reminder of the sacrifices made by Filipino heroes in securing the country's independence and the shared responsibility of every citizen in preserving the freedoms they fought for.

The celebration culminated with a Parade of Flags around the Municipal Oval, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the Bantayog ng Kalayaan, where participants paid tribute to the courage, heroism, and sacrifices of the country's forefathers. The BJMP San Jose District Jail through ๐‰๐‚๐ˆ๐๐’๐ ๐๐„๐‹๐Œ๐€๐‘ ๐Œ ๐Œ๐€๐‹๐ˆ๐Œ๐€๐“๐€, District Jail Warden, successfully presented a project proposal in partnership with the DOST Occidental Mindoro entitled โ€œStrengthening Access to Safe Water Through the Establishment of a Potable Water System for San Jose District Jail.โ€

The proposed project aims to address the facility's water needs by establishing a sustainable and reliable potable water system that will ensure access to safe and clean drinking water for both PDL and jail personnel. The initiative is expected to contribute significantly to the promotion of health, sanitation, and overall welfare within the facility.

During the project presentation, JCINSP MALIMATA highlighted the importance of providing a safe water supply as part of the jail's commitment to improving living conditions and supporting the rehabilitation environment for PDL. The proposal underwent evaluation by a panel of experts and stakeholders who assessed its feasibility, relevance, and potential impact.

As a result of the evaluation, the panel of evaluators ๐ž๐ง๐๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ž๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐ž๐œ๐ญ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐š๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ฏ๐š๐ฅ, marking a significant step toward the realization of the proposed potable water system. The endorsement reflects the project's potential to enhance the quality of life within the facility and strengthen SJDJ's efforts in providing humane and responsive custodial services.

The jail unit also extends its sincere appreciation and gratitude to the DOST MIMAROPA Region and PSTO Occidental Mindoro personnel for their invaluable support, technical guidance, and assistance throughout the development and presentation of the project proposal. In support of Brigada Eskwela 2026 with the theme, โ€œBayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman,โ€ personnel of the BJMP San Jose District Jail headed by ๐‰๐‚๐ˆ๐๐’๐ ๐๐„๐‹๐Œ๐€๐‘ ๐Œ ๐Œ๐€๐‹๐ˆ๐Œ๐€๐“๐€, District Jail Warden, actively participated in the clean-up and maintenance activities at Mapaya III Elementary School Boundary.

As part of the initiative, SJDJ personnel assisted in cleaning the school grounds by sweeping dried leaves and clearing the surroundings to help create a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment for students and teachers. The jail unit also donated cleaning materials, including brooms, pails, dippers, coconut husks, and dustpans, to support the school's preparations for the opening of classes.

Through this meaningful activity, SJDJ reaffirms its commitment to community engagement, education, and collaborative partnerships that contribute to positive change both inside and outside the jail facility.

The BJMP San Jose District Jail actively participated in the 2nd Quarter Joint Council Meeting of the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC), Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), and Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (MTF-ELCAC), held at the MEO Function Hall.

Representing the jail unit, JCINSP NELMAR M MALIMATA , District Jail Warden, presented the accomplishments, programs, and initiatives of the San Jose District Jail during the council meeting. The presentation highlighted the jail unit's efforts in ensuring the safekeeping and development of PDL.

The meeting was presided over by Mayor Rey Cajayon Ladaga, Chairman of the council, together with MLGOO Randolph William F. Saluba, department heads, and representatives from various government agencies, including the San Jose Municipal Police Station (SJMPS), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine Army, Maritime Police, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and BJMP.

Through the active participation of BJMP San Jose District Jail, the activity strengthened inter-agency coordination and collaboration in maintaining peace and order, promoting community safety, and advancing programs that contribute to the overall welfare and development of the Municipality of San Jose.

Naglahad ng kani-kanilang accomplishments ang bawat ahensyang nabanggit at ayon sa PNP San Jose, "generally peaceful" ang bayan ng San Jose dahil sa maayos na koordinasyon ng kapulisan mula sa barangay at sa lokal na pamahalaan.

Patuloy ang pakikipagtulungan ng bawat isang ahensiya at lokal na pamahalaan para sa pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan at katahimikan sa bayan ng San Jose.
