𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞, 𝐎𝐜𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐨 - The future of agrarian reform shines brighter as the youth take an active role in shaping sustainable and empowered rural communities.

With the theme “Strengthening Agrarian Reform Through Youth Involvement,” the successful conduct of the 2026 Youth Engagement served as a meaningful avenue to inspire young individuals to become active partners in promoting agricultural development, leadership, and social responsibility.

The activity brought together students, youth leaders, and stakeholders for a collaborative discussion on the importance of youth participation in nation-building and agrarian reform initiatives. Through the sharing of insights and experiences, the event highlighted how the younger generation can contribute innovative ideas and fresh perspectives in strengthening the agricultural sector.

The program was graced by distinguished guests and officials whose presence added inspiration and significance to the event. Among those who attended were the Municipal Mayor of San Jose, 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐑𝐞𝐲 𝐂. 𝐋𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐠𝐚, the Principal IV of SJNHS, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐡𝐞 𝐌. 𝐃𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧, DAR MIMAROPA Regional Director, 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐧 𝐁. 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥, Assistant Regional Director, 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐌. 𝐋𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐳, OIC-CARPO, 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐓. 𝐃𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐨𝐧, OIC-PARPO II, 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌. 𝐃𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐚, Chief Administrative Officer, 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐧 𝐁. 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫, alongside the Program Beneficiaries Development Division Representative SARPO 𝐌𝐚𝐟𝐡𝐢𝐥 𝐊. 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐚, SARPT 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐋. 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐨 from Land Tenure Services, and 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐀𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐨 from the Agrarian Legal Division.

Their messages emphasized the value of empowering the youth as catalysts of change and partners in achieving a progressive and inclusive agrarian reform program. The activity also strengthened collaboration between the Department of Agrarian Reform-Occidental Mindoro, the Local Government Unit of San Jose, and educational institutions in cultivating socially aware and community-oriented future leaders.

As the program concluded, one message resonated strongly among participants and organizers alike: The youth possess the strength and wisdom needed to support and continue the advocacy for the advancement of agrarian reform; they are not merely the leaders of tomorrow—they are already important contributors today.

Indeed, the 2026 Youth Engagement became more than just an activity—it became a platform that encouraged youth to help build a stronger agricultural future for generations to come.

Today, we honor and celebrate a truly meaningful milestone as the Department of Agrarian Reform Occidental Mindoro pays tribute to Ms. Dionisa T. Magno on her well-deserved retirement after almost 36 years of dedicated government service.

For nearly four decades, Ma’am Donay has faithfully served with commitment, integrity, and passion, becoming an invaluable part of the DAR Occidental Mindoro family. Through the years, she has exemplified professionalism, compassion, and unwavering dedication in carrying out her duties and serving the agrarian reform community of Occidental Mindoro.

Her remarkable journey in public service reflects not only hard work and perseverance, but also a genuine heart for helping others. Colleagues and friends alike will always remember her positive spirit, kindness, and the countless contributions she has made to the agency and to the people she worked with throughout her career.

The Department of Agrarian Reform-Occidental Mindoro successfully underwent its 1st ISO 9001:2015 Surveillance Audit on May 13, 2026, marking another significant step in the office’s commitment to maintaining quality management standards and delivering efficient public service.

The surveillance audit was conducted to evaluate the office’s continued compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring that established procedures, operational processes, and client-centered services are effectively implemented and consistently improved. The activity also assessed the office’s dedication to organizational excellence, accountability, and customer satisfaction in the delivery of agrarian reform programs and services.

During the audit, various offices and personnel of DAR Occidental Mindoro presented documented procedures, accomplishments, and best practices that demonstrate the agency’s adherence to international quality standards. The audit likewise served as an opportunity to identify strengths and areas for further improvement in the organization’s operations and service delivery mechanisms.

The successful conduct of the surveillance audit reflects the hard work, cooperation, and dedication of the officials and employees of DAR Occidental Mindoro in sustaining a culture of quality, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Through this undertaking, DAR Occidental Mindoro reaffirms its commitment to providing responsive, effective, and quality public service for the benefit of agrarian reform beneficiaries, stakeholders, and the general public.

The two-day activity aimed to equip the DAR-assisted organizations with advanced entrepreneurial tools and data-driven strategies, and to empower participants through valuable discussions, practical learning experiences, and enhanced understanding of entrepreneurship, organizational management, and market analysis. By merging academic expertise with practical implementation of agrarian reform, we ensure that our beneficiaries are not just farmers but competitive entrepreneurs ready for the modern market.

DAR Occidental Mindoro extends its heartfelt gratitude to Occidental Mindoro State College, resource speakers, facilitators, and all participants for their active support and meaningful participation that contributed to the success of this undertaking.
