📌 Pre-Marriage Orientation and Counseling (PMOC)

Bilang bahagi ng patuloy na programa ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng San Jose sa pamamagitan ng City Population Office para sa pagpapatatag ng mga pamilya, matagumpay na isinagawa ang Pre-Marriage Orientation and Counseling (PMOC) Seminar noong Agosto 26, 2026.

Pinangunahan ng mga miyembro ng San Jose City Pastoral Movement na sina Rev. Harrison De Leon, Rev. Enrique Varde, at Rev. William Iglesias ang talakayan at nagbahagi ng mahahalagang kaalaman at gabay sa mga kalahok bilang paghahanda sa buhay may-asawa.

Kabilang sa mahahalagang paksang tinalakay ang pag-aasawa at relasyon, gender biases at stereotypes, responsableng pagiging magulang, at ang kahalagahan ng respeto sa isa’t isa, maayos na komunikasyon, at pagtutulungan sa pagbuo ng isang malusog at maayos na pamilya.

Sa pamamagitan ng mga ganitong talakayan, patuloy na tinutulungan ng PMOC ang mga magiging mag-asawa na magkaroon ng mas malalim na pag-unawa sa buhay may-asawa at mga responsibilidad na kaakibat nito, bilang paghahanda sa pagbuo ng isang matatag, maayos, at mapagmahal na pamilya.

San Jose City Local Youth Devt Council celebrates Linggo ng Kabataan with Registered Youth organizations , student organization Sanguniang Kabataan members ,faith-base , and teachers.
Hon. Mayor Josel F. Violago highlighted the event and facilitated vission sharing among the participants followed by the inspiring message of the Hon. Vice Mayor Vanj Manugue .
Ms. Melanie C. Batu , Administrative officer V of the Commission on Population and Development Region 3 presented the PPD-PoA and YAFS4 on topic Understanding Population and Development . Special thanks to CPD III Regional Director Lourdes P. Nacionales for untiring technical support to our beloved city.

📌 Pre-Marriage Orientation and Counseling (PMOC)

As part of the Local Government Unit of San Jose's continuing commitment to strengthening Filipino families through the City Population Office, another session of the Pre-Marriage Orientation and Counseling (PMOC) Seminar was successfully conducted on August 5, 2026.

One of the important topics discussed was the impact of gender biases and stereotypes on relationships and family life. Participating couples were encouraged to appreciate the value of mutual respect, shared responsibilities, fairness, and equality as essential foundations of a healthy and lasting marriage.

The discussion also emphasized the importance of understanding each other's roles, strengthening communication, and fostering partnership in building a harmonious family. Through meaningful discussions and shared learning, PMOC continues to prepare future couples for married life by equipping them with the knowledge, values, and practical insights needed to build strong, resilient, and loving families.

PRESS RELEASE | DIGNIFIED HEALTH IS NOT FOR ADULTS ONLY: PCW Calls for Immediate Upgrades to Adolescent Health Facilities to Protect Young Filipinas

The Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) is pushing for immediate strengthening of the country’s Adolescent-Friendly Health Facility (AFHF) program. Speaking before a Partnership Forum Learning Session organized by Likhaan Center for Women’s Health, in partnership with United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), PCW Chairperson Ermelita V. Valdeavilla warned that certification of these facilities on paper does not guarantee dignified access for young Filipinas in practice.

Chairperson Valdeavilla commended the program’s steady expansion, with hundreds of local government units establishing facilities offering family planning information, prenatal and postnatal care, HIV and STI screening, and mental health support. But she noted reports that staff of such certified facilities still utter demeaning, embarrassing and judgmental comments to young female patients. She observes that many remote communities still have no adolescent-friendly facility at all.

📌 Pre-Marriage Orientation and Counseling

Patuloy na isinusulong ng Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Lungsod ng San Jose, sa pamamagitan ng City Population Office, ang mga programang naghahanda sa mga magkasintahang papasok sa buhay may-asawa. Kaugnay nito, matagumpay na isinagawa ngayong Miyerkoles, Hulyo 22, 2026, ang Pre-Marriage Orientation and Counseling (PMOC).

Tampok sa programa ang ating PMOC Facilitator, Sir Edison Ubaldo ng City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), na nagbahagi ng mahahalagang kaalaman tungkol sa Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC). Binigyang-diin niya ang kahalagahan ng paggalang sa karapatan ng kababaihan at mga bata, pag-iwas sa anumang uri ng karahasan, at pagpapanatili ng isang ligtas at mapagmahal na tahanan.

Patuloy na nagsisilbing daan ang PMOC sa pagbibigay ng sapat na kaalaman at paghahanda sa mga magkasintahang papasok sa buhay may-asawa.

Bilang bahagi ng mga programa ng Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Lungsod ng San Jose, sa pamamagitan ng City Population Office, matagumpay na isinagawa noong Hulyo 15, 2026 ang Pre-Marriage Orientation and Counseling (PMOC) para sa mga magkasintahang naghahanda sa buhay may-asawa.

Tampok sa programa ang ating Guest Facilitator, Ma'am Evelyn P. Dasalla, na nagbahagi ng mahahalagang kaalaman at gabay upang higit na maihanda ang mga kalahok sa pagbuo ng matatag, responsable, at masayang pagsasama.

Patuloy na isinusulong ng Lungsod ng San Jose, sa pamamagitan ng City Population Office, ang mga programang nagbibigay ng tamang impormasyon at paghahanda para sa responsableng pagiging magulang at matatag na pamilya.
