The Doon Po Sa Amin sa Batangas Digital Film Festival 2022 is a project of the Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office (PTCAO) of Batangas Provincial Government in collaboration with the Batangas Forum for Good Governance and Development Association, Inc. (Batangas Forum) and with the support of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP
Prior to the film festival, the FDCP organized a series of filmmaking workshops conducted by renowned independent filmmakers that include Raymond Red, Ilsa Malsi, Mikko Quizon, Pepe Manikan, Clodualdo “Doy” del Mundo for aspiring Batangueño filmmakers and film practitioners. These workshops provided the film education training of this unique socio-cultural-educational approach to development.
In his visits to several towns and universities of the province to explain the project, Film Festival Vice Chairman Leo Martinez also expressed the hope that from this endeavor will rise a corps of creative Batangueño filmmakers who can eventually become active players in the creative economy envisioned by the recently enacted Philippine Creative Industries Development Act.
The festival features short digital films that refer to the sources of pride of Batangueños in the fields of culture and the arts, heritage, history, festivals, religious practices, natural environment and tourism sites, among many others.
Batangas Forum President Mauro "Mannie" Barradas said that the project aims to contribute to the development of positive messages about our province.
