Tourism of San Juan, Batangas +63 961 955 2607 The municipality has a total land area of about 27,340 hectares. As of year 2015 Census, the town has a population of 108,585.

San Juan is a first class municipality, the second largest in terms of land area in the Province of Batangas and located at the easternmost part of Batangas Province. It is approximately 120 kilometers from Metro Manila and 43 kilometers from the provincial capital of Batangas City and is accessible by land transportation from National Roads coming from the West (through Lipa City and the town of

Rosario), and from the East (through Quezon route). San Juan is bounded on the North by the Quezon towns of Candelaria and Tiaong with the Malaking Ilog River defining the geographical boundary between Batangas and Quezon; on the South by the Verde Island Passage; on the East by the Quezon town of Sariaya and by Tayabas Bay; and on the West by the mountain ranges of the Batangas town of Rosario and Lobo. It has 42 barangays including the town center which is the Poblacion. North of the Poblacion along the Malaking Ilog River that divides Batangas and Quezon are the Barangays of Muzon, Palahanan 1.0, Palahanan 2.0, Sico 1.0, Sico 2.0, Janao-janao, Calicanto, Maraykit, Lipahan and Tipaz. The other Barangays are all south of the Poblacion. Those that abut Batangas towns (Rosario, Taysan and Lobo) to the West are Libato, Sapangan, Quipot, Pulangbato, Bulsa, Laiya Aplaya and Hugom. The Barangays with a coast fronting Tayabas Bay are Poctol, Catmon, Pinagbayanan, Ticalan, Putingbuhangin, Abung, Calubcub 1.0, Calubcub 2.0, Subukin, Nagsaulay, Bataan, Imelda, Barualte, Laiya Ibabao, Laiya Aplaya and Hugom. The Laiya and Hugom white sand beaches nearer to the Verde Island Passage contain San Juanโ€™s more popular resorts today. The interior barangays southwards of the National Road are Barangays Poblacion and Calitcalit (that actually straddle the National Road), Mabalanoy, Palingowak, Talahiban 1.0, Talahiban 2.0, Balagbag, Escribano, Sampiro, Buhaynasapa and Coloconto.

For the safety of everyone, please be advised that, as per the Coast Guard Sub Station San Juan, all water sports and sea activities are temporarily suspended until further notice due to the adverse weather conditions brought about by Tropical Cyclone MAYMAY.

We encourage all visitors to postpone non-essential travel and coordinate with their respective resorts regarding their bookings. Resort operators and tourism stakeholders are likewise requested to continue implementing the necessary safety measures and comply with this advisory.

The Municipal Tourism Office, in coordination with the San Juan Association of Restaurants and Cafรฉs (SJARC), led by its President, Mrs. Gina Mercado-Soler, conducted a coordination meeting to discuss the preparations for the upcoming SJARCโ€“DOLE Seminar.

The meeting focused on identifying relevant topics that will benefit restaurant and cafรฉ owners and operators, including updates on SJARC initiatives, DOLE labor requirements, business development opportunities, and other concerns affecting the local food and beverage industry.

This initiative reflects SJARC's commitment to strengthening the restaurant and cafรฉ sector through capacity-building programs, regulatory awareness, and collaborative efforts with partner government agencies.

The Municipal Tourism Office attended the monthly meeting of the San Juan Resort Owners Association (SJROA) to strengthen collaboration and discuss initiatives that will further enhance tourism development in the Municipality of San Juan.

The meeting served as a valuable platform for sharing updates, addressing concerns, and fostering stronger partnerships between the local government and tourism stakeholders. Through continued coordination and cooperation, the Municipality remains committed to promoting sustainable tourism and ensuring quality experiences for both visitors and the local community.

The Municipal Tourism Office attended the opening of the LAKBAY SINING Art Exhibit held at La Luz Beach Resort. Organized by the San Juan Artists Group in partnership with the San Juan Culture and Arts Council, the exhibit showcases the creativity and artistic excellence of San Juan's local artists while promoting the municipality's rich cultural heritage.

The month-long exhibit features the works of Carlos Castro, Rosel Dimaculangan, Elmer Aguila, Edwin Magpantay, together with other talented local artists. Through this initiative, visitors and resort guests are given the opportunity to appreciate the diverse artistic expressions that reflect the identity, traditions, and stories of the community.

The Municipal Tourism Office remains committed to supporting programs and initiatives that promote arts, culture, and tourism, recognizing their vital role in preserving San Juan's heritage and enriching the visitor experience.
