Wrapping up another week for a safer San Juan! From July 25 –29, 2026, CENRO teams cleared overgrown trees and addressed community requests across Brgy. Balong Bato, Brgy. Corazon De Jesus, Brgy. Greenhills and Brgy. Pasadena
Proactive tree maintenance is essential to safeguarding municipal electrical infrastructure against power disruptions, maintaining unobstructed roadways and walkways for public transit, and mitigating hazards from falling debris during severe weather events.

In line with the City's dedication to preserving public safety and maintaining secure neighborhood environments, the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) regularly conducts tree-trimming and maintenance operations across various barangays—both as part of routine maintenance and in response to community requests.

These featured operational highlights capture the Before, Actual Operation, and After results from our recent operations, reflecting the City's proactive approach to mitigating hazards caused by overgrown branches near power lines and public roadways.

Together, we continue to build a safer, cleaner, and more resilient city.

As part of the City's preparedness and response efforts during Typhoon Inday, the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) conducted tree-trimming operations in various areas to reduce potential hazards caused by overgrown trees and branches.

This photo series highlights the Before, Actual Operation, and After results from several completed operations, reflecting the City's commitment to public safety and effective environmental management.

We extend our appreciation to all personnel and partner agencies who worked diligently throughout the operation, as well as to the public for their patience and cooperation.

PUBLIC ADVISORY

The City Government of San Juan is pleased to inform the public that the rehabilitation of the grass field area at the Pinaglabanan Shrine has been progressing well.

To further enhance the condition, appearance, and overall quality of the grass field, additional rehabilitation and maintenance works will continue in the coming days. In line with this, the temporary closure of the grass field area will be extended until JUNE 11, 2026.

During this period, the use of the grass field will remain prohibited. However, all other areas of the Pinaglabanan Shrine, including the paved walkways surrounding the area, will remain open for walking, jogging, and other recreational activities.

We appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding, and cooperation as we continue our efforts to make the Pinaglabanan Shrine a greener and more enjoyable public space for all.

‼️‼️NOTICE TO ALL‼️‼️

PUBLIC ADVISORY

Due to the extreme heat we are experiencing and the continuous use of the grass field area of the Pinaglabanan Shrine, huge portions of it have dried up and will need time to be rehabilitated.

To give the grass an opportunity to grow once again, the City Government of San Juan will be implementing a 2-week rehabilitation period from May 20 to June 3, 2026.

During this time, the use of the grass field will be temporarily prohibited. However, all other areas of the Pinaglabanan Shrine including the paved walkways surrounding the area will remain open for walking, jogging and all other activities.

We kindly ask for everyone’s understanding and cooperation as we work together to preserve and improve our public spaces for the benefit of everyone.
