PNP STATEMENT ON REPORTED INCIDENT AT A PRIVATE SCHOOL IN ZAMBOANGA
The Philippine National Police (PNP), through the Police Regional Office 9 and the Zamboanga City Police Office, promptly responded to the recently reported shooting incident inside a private school in Zamboanga City.
Police personnel immediately coordinated with school authorities and other concerned agencies to ensure the safety and orderly movement of students, faculty, and school personnel. The situation is now under control.
The PNP likewise encourages parents and guardians to remain calm and follow the school's advisory, particularly on the designated time and arrangements for picking up their children. This will help ensure an orderly process and allow responding personnel to carry out their responsibilities without unnecessary congestion.
Authorities are currently establishing the circumstances surrounding the incident. The PNP will provide verified information as appropriate and appeals to the public to refrain from sharing unconfirmed reports, photos, or videos that may cause unnecessary concern.
