Thursday morning, September 3, 2026, Sta. Monica National High School participated in the ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐
๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ 2026 to strengthen preparedness and safety awareness among learners and faculty.
At exactly 9:00 AM, the emergency siren echoed across the campus. Teachers from Grade 8 โ Rizal, Grade 7 โ Sampaguita, and Grade 7 โ Rose immediately paused their lessons and calmly guided their students to remain quiet and composed. Curtains were drawn, and classroom doors were reinforced with heavy objects to prevent entry, simulating real lockdown procedures.
When the suspension of classes was officially announced, learners carefully exited their rooms with hands raised and formed a single line in front of the stage. The person in charge provided clear instructions, ensuring everyone understood the next steps.
Policemen from the San Luis Municipal Police Station also arrived and oriented the learners on proper safety measures during such emergencies. Their guidance and active participation greatly contributed to the smooth flow of the activity, making the drill more realistic and successful.
As parents and guardians arrived at the school gate, they presented their proper identification, signed the logbook, and safely reunited with their children.
This drill highlighted the importance of discipline, cooperation, and readiness in emergencies. Through the active participation of teachers, learners, parents, and the support of the San Luis MPS, Sta. Monica National High School continues to uphold its commitment to safeguarding the welfare of its community.
