𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣 𝗠𝗘𝗟𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗥 𝗙 𝗗𝗘𝗟𝗔 𝗖𝗥𝗨𝗭, 𝗨𝗽𝗶, 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝘂, 𝗜𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗮 – Before troops move, commanders need to know what could go wrong.

That was the focus of the 502nd Infantry “Liberator” Brigade’s Rehearsal of Concept (ROC) Drill on August 14, 2026, at its headquarters in Barangay Soyung, Echague, Isabela, as part of the Combined Arms Brigade Exercise (CABEX) 2026.

Rather than simply reviewing battle plans, participating units walked through their planned actions to see where coordination could break down, where tasks might overlap, and what gaps could affect the ex*****on of the mission.

The exercise brought brigade and subordinate units into the same planning picture, allowing them to clarify responsibilities, synchronize movements, and resolve issues before actual operations.

For BGen Rhoderick L. Parallag, Commander of the 502Bde, the value of the exercise lies in making sure every unit understands not only what to do, but how their actions connect with the rest of the force.

He commended the participating units for their professionalism and active participation, stressing that teamwork and coordination remain essential to mission success.

The ROC Drill put the brigade’s plans under scrutiny before they are put to the test in the field, giving the Liberator troops an opportunity to correct weaknesses early and operate as one force under the brigade’s “One Team, One Mission” principle.

Security Forces, University, LGU, Kabataan Party-list Unite for Kalinga Youth Development

CAMP MELCHOR F DELA CRUZ, Upi, Gamu, Isabela — In a strong display of convergence and shared commitment to youth development, security forces, the academe, local government, and the Kabataan Party-list came together in Kalinga to support initiatives aimed at empowering young people and securing better opportunities for their future.

The activity demonstrated how institutions and organizations from different sectors can find common ground in advancing the welfare of the youth. Through cooperation and constructive engagement, stakeholders underscored that youth development, peace, education, and community resilience are responsibilities shared by the entire community.

The 5th Infantry (STAR) Division, Philippine Army, expressed its appreciation to the participating university, local government, partner security and law-enforcement agencies, and the Kabataan Party-list for contributing to the activity and supporting programs that benefit the young people of Kalinga.

The participation of various stakeholders reflected a shared commitment to a common purpose, empowering the youth and creating a peaceful, secure, and progressive future for the people of Kalinga.
