We wish to inform the public, participating barangays, and sports delegation that the grand opening of the Mayor's Cup Inter-Barangay Basketball Tournament is officially moved to September 6, 2026.

This decision was made to allow the completion of the ongoing renovation and repainting of the Municipal Auditorium. Completing these venue improvements ensures a safe, fully refurbished, and high-quality environment for both players and the viewing public.

Additionally, the rescheduled opening program on September 6 will feature the Mayor's Cup Muse Competition. Each participating barangay delegation is invited to present an official team muse during the parade of teams.

We appreciate the community's understanding, patience, and unwavering enthusiasm for local sports development. We look forward to seeing everyone on September 6 for a successful tournament opening.

๐—ฌ๐—ข๐—จ๐—ง๐—› ๐—œ๐—ก ๐—”๐—–๐—ง๐—œ๐—ข๐—ก | The Philippine National Police (PNP) San Miguel, in partnership with the Pambayang Pederasyon ng mga Sangguniang Kabataan ng San Miguel and the Local Youth Development Council (LYDC), successfully held the Reorientation of Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT), the Orientation on the Supervised Drug Education Center (SDEC) in collaboration with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWD), and the Election of KKDAT Officers.

The activity aimed to strengthen youth participation in community-based programs promoting drug prevention, peace and order, responsible leadership, and active citizenship. It also provided participants with valuable knowledge on youth development initiatives while selecting a new set of KKDAT officers who will lead future programs and activities.

The PPSK-San Miguel extends its appreciation to all partner agencies, youth leaders, and participants for their unwavering support and commitment to empowering the youth of San Miguel.

We have officially wrapped up our intensive strategic planning workshop at Asia's Star Hotel, Tacloban City! Thirty of our brightest SK Federation Officers, LYDC members, and sectoral youth leaders successfully built our 3-Year Local Youth Development Plan (LYDP) for 2027-2029!

We hit the ground running with an eye-opening, goal-focused welcome from our Provincial Youth Development Officer, Sir Rodel S. Catapal. From there, it was straight into the trenches, spending Day 1 breaking down local data and analyzing sectoral problem trees, and jumping into Day 2 to defend our proposed programs and budget lines during a high-stakes plenary vetting block!

and most especially, a huge DAMO NGA SALAMAT to everyone who made this vision a reality.

We came to Tacloban City as individual leaders, but because of all of you, we returned to our town as one tightly connected team with a shared purpose, ONE GREAT SAN MIGUEL.
