Sanmiguelnon SPES 2026 journey officially begins 🤎

The Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) is a Philippine government program run by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

It is mandated by Republic Act No. 7323, as amended by RA 9547 and RA 10917. It’s part of the government’s 22-Point Labor and Employment Agenda to enhance social protection for youth.

SPES gives poor but deserving students and out-of-school youth temporary jobs so they can earn money to help pay for school while gaining work experience. The goal is to prevent financial problems from stopping them from continuing their studies.

In behalf of Peso San Miguel Bohol of this LGU, we would like to extend our sincerest gratitude and appreciation to the heads of offices, employees and to individuals who helped us realize this activity. Special mention to Mayor Ian Gil Garcia Mendez , VM June Reign Reyes , Hon. Garay (Committee chair on Labor and Employment) and the rest of SB members for approving this initiative despite economic challenges.
