Look || The Municipal Internal Audit Services Office (MIASO) conducted the Exit Conference for the Baseline Assessment of the Internal Control System (BAICS) of the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO)

The activity gave the audit team and HRMO employees the opportunity to openly discuss the assessment results, clarify observations, and confirm the accuracy of the findings. It also encouraged a shared understanding of the areas that need improvement and identifying practical actions to strengthen the office's internal control system.

Through this collaborative effort, MIASO reaffirmed its commitment to helping strengthen the HRMO's internal control system by providing practical recommendations and encouraging continuous improvement.

LOOK || The Municipal Internal Audit Services Office (MIASO) participated in the “Capability Development Towards Responsive Customer Service Excellence” Seminar held on June 10–11, 2026 organized by the Local Government Unit of San Miguel in coordination with the Civil Service Commission (CSC) – Surigao del Sur.

The seminar helped enhance the participants’ knowledge and skills in providing better customer service in government. It highlighted the importance of being responsive, efficient, and committed to delivering quality public service while upholding professionalism and accountability.

LOOK || Successful Commencement of the BAICS Entry Conference with the MHRMO.

The Internal Audit Team of MIASO-San Miguel successfully conducted its Entry Conference on the Baseline Assessment of Internal Control System (BAICS) with the Municipal Human Resource Management Office (MHRMO). Ma'am Leonora G. Demoto attended the conference along with her staff. During the conference, the audit team productively discussed and administered the Internal Control Questionnaire (ICQ) to the HRMO staff.

We sincerely thank the MHRMO for their active participation and cooperation, reflecting their commitment to transparency, accountability, and organizational excellence.

Together with Mayor Michael Corilla, Vice Mayor Alfeo Perez, Jr., and the other department heads, the Municipal Internal Audit Services Office (MIASO) participated in the Management Committee (MANCOM) Meeting, during which the office’s accomplishments and major concerns were formally presented and discussed. The meeting served as an avenue to identify the challenges encountered by the office and to address matters requiring immediate attention. It was a privilege for the office to be given the opportunity to present its concerns, engage in meaningful discussion, and seek the necessary support in addressing the difficulties encountered in the performance of its functions.
