85th Infantry Sandiwa Battalion "Serving the People, Securing the Land"
On 01 June 2020, the Battalion once again relocated at Brgy White Cliff, San Narciso, Quezon.

The 85th Infantry Sandiwa Battalion was activated pursuant to Section I & III, General Orders Nr 145, HPA dated 16 March 2010 effective 15 February 2010. The Battalion was organized originally from the core members of the 10th Philippine Contingent in Haiti (10PCH) and the 12th Philippine Contingent in Liberia (12PCL). On 16 March 2010, the Battalion has been assigned at Hqs 2nd Infantry Division,

Philippine Army and by 16 April 2010, the Battalion was deployed in Masbate OPCON to 9ID for its first mission of safeguarding an Honest, Orderly and Peaceful National & Local Elections (HOPE) at the 3rd District of Masbate covering eight (8) municipalities until 29 July 2010, the Battalion returned to H2ID at Camp Capinpin, Tanay, Rizal for Battalion Retraining. After the retraining, on 12 December 2010, the Battalion officially deployed to conduct Internal Security Operation at Quezon Province and took over the AOR of 76IB covering the 15 Municipalities and installed its Battalion Headquarters at Brgy Villa Principe, Gumaca, Quezon. On the Year 2020, the Battalion was relocated from Brgy Villa Principe, Gumaca to Brgy San Vicente, Macalelon. The 85th Infantry Battalion has been serving the people of Quezon Province for more than 10 Years and counting with a core purpose: Serving the People, Securing the Land.
