Young sunflowers actually move and turn their heads to follow the sun across the sky from sunrise to sunset every day! This amazing process is called heliotropism. It helps them soak up as much sunlight as possible to grow strong and tall. 🌞✨

Once they mature, they usually settle facing east — ready to greet the morning sun each day. Nature really is full of incredible little wonders, isn’t it? 💛

May 21, 2026 – Thirty(30) aspiring and existing Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) took part in an activity featuring the DTI Programs and Services Seminar, Business Permit Information Session, and MSME Identification drive. Conducted in Barangays Omaya and Paite, this initiative was organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Zambales through the Negosyo Center San Narciso and Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO).

The objectives of the activity were to simplify business permit procedures and identify enterprises operating in priority sectors that will make them eligible for DTI support and development programs.

The session was facilitated by NC Trade-Industry Development Analyst Johanna M. Llabres, with the support of Licensing Officer I Albert Cababaro and the leadership of San Narciso Mayor La Rainne Abad-Sarmiento., with valuable assistance from officials of Barangays Omaya and Paite.

On May 12, 2026, in celebration of the 177th founding anniversary of the Municipality of San Narciso, a Mini Trade Fair was successfully conducted to showcase the quality products, skills, and industry of our local community. The event featured the following participants: fish tinapa producers from Barangay Namatacan—beneficiaries of the DSWD Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP); Loida Labrador of Zambales Coconut Free Farmers Agriculture Cooperative; crochet artisan Zyrelle Fernandez from Barangay Natividad; and farmer Noli Racoma, a graduate of the TESDA Agri-entrepreneurship Program.

This initiative was a collaborative effort of the Municipal Agricultural Office, Municipal Tourism Office, and Negosyo Center San Narciso. It was made possible through the support of Honorable Mayor La Rainne Abad-Sarmiento, DSWD Municipal Action Team Leader Christine Joy Lim, Municipal Agricultural Office Agriculture Technologist John Michael De Leon, as well as all committed barangay and municipal officials.

The activity is designed to promote and strengthen local enterprises, highlight homegrown products, empower farmers, artisans, and livelihood beneficiaries, and contribute to the economic development of the municipality—all while honoring San Narciso’s heritage and milestone of progress.
