Mobilized educators, local officials, stakeholders, and community partners gathered at the San Nicolas Municipal Auditorium on May 30 for the Division Kick-Off Program of Brigada Eskwela, reinforcing a shared commitment to prepare schools and strengthen support for learners ahead of the new academic year.
The activity brought together representatives from the Department of Education, local government units, and various sectors to promote volunteerism, collaboration, and community participation in creating safe and conducive learning environments for students across the Schools Division of Pangasinan II, led by Schools Division Superintendent Vivian Luz S. Pagatpatan, PhD, CESO VI.
In her message of support, Mayor Alicia Primicias-Enriquez underscored the importance of cooperation and collaboration among institutions and community members in advancing educational programs and development initiatives. She also reaffirmed the local government's continued commitment to supporting the education sector.
Serving as guest speaker, Pangasinan Sixth District Representative Atty. Marlyn "Len" Primicias-Agabas highlighted the vital role of community involvement in providing learners with greater opportunities through accessible and quality education. She emphasized that collective action remains essential in helping students achieve a brighter future.
Dr. Redentor B. Aquino, chief education supervisor of the Schools Governance and Operations Division, called on stakeholders to sustain their support and services for schools, noting that their contributions play a significant role in shaping future generations of learners.
Meanwhile, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Russel Jim V. Tamayo, PhD, CESO VI, delivered an inspiring message on behalf of the Schools Division, encouraging participants to give their best in the implementation of Brigada Eskwela not only in San Nicolas but throughout the division.
Municipal Councilor Amorsio Pulido, chairperson of the Committee on Education, welcomed participants and emphasized the spirit of camaraderie fostered by Brigada Eskwela, as well as its positive impact on both students and the wider community.
The first part of the program concluded with the awarding of plaques and certificates of appreciation to the host local government unit, host district, and host school in recognition of their support and contributions to the successful staging of the Division Brigada Eskwela Kick-Off Program.
