Philippine Red Cross - San Pablo City Chapter The 44th Chapter of the Philippine Red Cross.
(1)

Born officially in 1947, but with roots that traces back to the revolutionary days, the Philippine Red Cross has truly become the premier humanitarian organization in the country, committed to provide quality life-saving services that protect the life and dignity especially of indigent Filipinos in vulnerable situations. The story of the Philippine Red Cross is the story of men and women from all

walks of life who have dedicated themselves to the service of humanity. It is the tale of hundreds of thousands of ordinary people who devoted their time and resources to help the poorest of the poor. Professionally trained and truly compassionate, these men and women are ready to lend a helping hand to those in need – whoever, whenever and wherever they may be. At present, the Philippine Red Cross provides six major services: Blood Services, Disaster Management Services, Safety Services, Health Services, Social Services, Red Cross Youth and Volunteer Services. All of them embody the fundamental principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement – humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality. These values guide and inspire all Red Cross staff and volunteers, to whom being a Red Crosser is more than just a philosophy but a way of life.

BRIGADA ESKWELA 2026 | Building Better Spaces, Inspiring Brighter Futures.

The Philippine Red Cross San Pablo City Chapter proudly joined Brigada Eskwela 2026 at San Vicente Integrated High School, bringing the spirit of volunteerism, service, and bayanihan to life.

With the dedication and teamwork of our passionate Red Cross Youth volunteers from St. Therese Montessori School of San Pablo Inc., Althea Villamarzo, Charton James Flores, Aidan Liam Elpedama together with Ms. Melca Ramos-Red Cross 143 volunteer and Mr. Jayson Fajardo, CSR-RCY, helped transform a classroom into a more welcoming and conducive learning environment through cleaning activities and repainting of classroom walls and blackboards.

Beyond improving learning spaces, the chapter also donated Hygiene Kits to support the health and well-being of students and school personnel. These were formally turned over at the Principal’s Office through Mr.Adrian Ortiz, RCY Adviser of SVIHS SRCY,strengthening our shared commitment to creating safer, healthier, and more resilient school communities.

Every brushstroke, every sweep, and every act of kindness reflect the power of young people united for a purpose. Together, we are not only preparing schools for the opening of classes, but we are also helping build a future where compassion, service, and hope thrive in every classroom.

One Red Cross. One Community. One Mission.

Brigada Eskwela 2026: Empowering Learners Through Health and Preparedness.

As part of its continued commitment to promoting health, safety, and resilience in schools, the Philippine Red Cross San Pablo City Chapter successfully distributed Hygiene Kits and face masks on June 3, 2026 to the learners and school communities of San Antonio 2 Elementary School, San Joaquin Elementary School, Santisimo Rosario Integrated High School, Sta. Maria Elementary School, and Soledad Elementary School through the assistance of Ms. Cyrell Ann Opiana, Red Cross 143 Municipalities Coordinator and Mr. Jerome Torres, RCY Volunteer.

This initiative forms part of our active participation in Brigada Eskwela 2026, ensuring that students return to school equipped not only with knowledge but also with the essentials needed to maintain proper hygiene and protect their health.

More than providing supplies, this activity reflects the spirit of bayanihan, compassion, and volunteerism, values that inspire young people to become agents of positive change in their communities. By supporting a safe and healthy learning environment, we help create schools where every learner can thrive, dream, and succeed.

Together with our dedicated Red Cross Volunteers, we remain committed to building stronger, healthier, and more resilient communities, one school, one learner, and one act of kindness at a time.

“Volunteering is not just about giving time; it’s about giving a part of yourself to make a difference.”

For the Red Cross Youth of the Philippine Red Cross San Pablo City Chapter, every volunteer journey is a story of compassion, growth, and purpose. Through every outreach, training, and humanitarian activity, we discover that even the smallest act of kindness can create a lasting impact in the lives of others.

Being a volunteer has taught us to lead with empathy, serve with humility, and inspire hope in our communities. It is a journey filled with meaningful experiences, genuine friendships, and countless opportunities to become better versions of ourselves.

As young humanitarians, we continue to prove that age is never a barrier to creating change. Together, we learn. Together, we serve. Together, we inspire.

The Philippine Red Cross San Pablo City Chapter proudly responded to the invitation of the Philippine Red Cross – Batangas Chapter, Tanauan Branch, to facilitate the Y-Adapt Tailor Training for selected Red Cross Youth volunteers. The two-day training, held on May 29–30, 2026 at the PRC Batangas Tanauan Branch Training Room, was facilitated by Mr. Jayson B. Fajardo, CSR-RCY/FR.

The training served as a vital platform in strengthening the capacity of young volunteers to become more resilient, adaptive, and proactive in addressing the challenges brought by climate change, disasters, and community vulnerabilities. Through interactive learning sessions, practical activities, and youth-centered discussions, participants enhanced their knowledge and skills in disaster risk reduction, climate action, and community engagement.

This initiative reflects the Philippine Red Cross’ commitment to empowering the youth as catalysts of positive change and building a generation of humanitarian leaders who are equipped to promote resilience and preparedness within their respective communities. The successful conduct of the Y-Adapt Tailor Training marks another milestone in fostering youth leadership and inspiring volunteers to take a more active role in creating safer, stronger, and more resilient communities.

The session was facilitated by Mr. Jayson B. Fajardo, CSR-RCY/FR, with the assistance of Ms. Cyrell Ann Opiana, Red Cross 143 Municipality Coordinator. Through interactive discussions and educational activities, participants were equipped with essential knowledge on HIV and AIDS awareness, prevention strategies, risk reduction, and the harmful effects of substance abuse on individuals, families, and communities.

The activity aimed to empower young people to make informed and responsible decisions, develop healthy lifestyles, and become advocates for positive change within their respective communities. It also emphasized the importance of compassion, non-discrimination, and community involvement in addressing public health concerns.

This collaborative initiative highlights the continued commitment of the Philippine Red Cross San Pablo City Chapter and the CSWD Office in promoting youth development, health education, and community resilience.
