The 44th Chapter of the Philippine Red Cross.

Born officially in 1947, but with roots that traces back to the revolutionary days, the Philippine Red Cross has truly become the premier humanitarian organization in the country, committed to provide quality life-saving services that protect the life and dignity especially of indigent Filipinos in vulnerable situations. The story of the Philippine Red Cross is the story of men and women from all

walks of life who have dedicated themselves to the service of humanity. It is the tale of hundreds of thousands of ordinary people who devoted their time and resources to help the poorest of the poor. Professionally trained and truly compassionate, these men and women are ready to lend a helping hand to those in need – whoever, whenever and wherever they may be. At present, the Philippine Red Cross provides six major services: Blood Services, Disaster Management Services, Safety Services, Health Services, Social Services, Red Cross Youth and Volunteer Services. All of them embody the fundamental principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement – humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality. These values guide and inspire all Red Cross staff and volunteers, to whom being a Red Crosser is more than just a philosophy but a way of life.

𝘚𝘛𝘈𝘕𝘋 𝘞𝘐𝘛𝘏 𝘕𝘌𝘗𝘈𝘓: 𝘉𝘈𝘠𝘈𝘕𝘐𝘏𝘈𝘕 𝘒𝘕𝘖𝘞𝘚 𝘕𝘖 𝘉𝘖𝘙𝘋𝘌𝘙𝘚

As communities in the Philippines remain vigilant amid the effects of the Southwest Monsoon, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) calls on Filipinos to extend the spirit of bayanihan beyond our shores and stand with the people of Nepal following devastating flash floods and landslides.

The August 26 disaster along the Nepal–Tibet border has affected thousands of families, leaving communities grieving, displaced, and cut off from essential services.

The Nepal Red Cross Society, supported by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, is responding on the ground with food, shelter materials, first aid supplies, emergency WASH assistance, and other life-saving humanitarian support.

𝘉𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘞𝘦 𝘒𝘯𝘰𝘸, 𝘞𝘦 𝘊𝘢𝘯 𝘏𝘦𝘭𝘱. Every peso. Every dollar. Every act of kindness can help bring relief, dignity, and hope to families facing one of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Our countries may be separated by thousands of kilometers, but human suffering connects us—and so does our humanity.

We can prepare here.
