SAN PASCUAL, MASBATE โ€” Tinalakay ng Sangguniang Bayan ng San Pascual sa kanilang isinagawang sesyon kanina ang panukalang pagpapatayo ng sangay ng Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) sa nasabing bayan.

Layunin ng naturang panukala na mailapit ang mga serbisyong pinansyal sa mga mamamayan, partikular sa mga lokal na negosyante, maliliit na entreprenyur, at iba pang sektor na nangangailangan ng mas mabilis at maayos na access sa banking services.

Matatandaang noong ika-18 ng Pebrero 2026, personal na nagtungo sa DBP Legazpi sina Mayor Saki A. Lazaro, kasama si SB Member Maxim Lazaro, Municipal Treasurer Dodong Sullano, at iba pang kinatawan ng lokal na pamahalaan, upang pormal na ihain ang kahilingan para sa pagtatayo ng nasabing bangko sa bayan.

Ayon sa mga opisyal, malaking tulong ang pagkakaroon ng DBP branch sa San Pascual upang mapalakas ang lokal na ekonomiya, mapadali ang mga transaksyong pinansyal, at mabigyan ng mas maraming oportunidad ang mga residente.

Sa kasalukuyan, patuloy pang pinag-aaralan at tinatalakay ng Sangguniang Bayan ang mga detalye ng panukala bilang bahagi ng kanilang hakbang tungo sa mas inklusibong pag-unlad ng bayan.

The Committee on Finance and Appropriation, chaired by Hon. Niรฑo Maximino A. Lazaro, successfully conducted a committee hearing to deliberate on key financial initiatives of the Municipality.

Present during the hearing was Municipal Treasurer Mr. Henry Sullano, who served as the resource person for the discussions.

Among the important matters tackled were:

โ€ข The proposed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing between the LGU and GCash, aimed at enhancing digital payment systems and improving public service efficiency;
โ€ข The adoption of an ATM payroll system to ensure a more secure, transparent, and convenient salary distribution for LGU personnel; and

The 12th Sangguniang Bayan of San Pascual successfully conducted its Regular Session, bringing together members of the council to discuss important matters for the continued development of the municipality.
