LAC Session | Strengthening Classroom-Based Assessment
Committed to continuous professional growth and quality instruction, the teaching force of Caingin Elementary School actively participated in a Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session on the Provision of Technical Assistance on Classroom-Based Assessment Across Key Stages, anchored on DepEd Order No. 15, s. 2026. The session was facilitated by our School Principal, Ma'am Rodella G. Mendoza, who provided valuable guidance on strengthening assessment practices that are fair, learner-centered, standards-based, and aligned with the MATATAG Curriculum.
The session aimed to deepen teachers' understanding of effective classroom-based assessment, enhance the quality of assessment tools and strategies, promote the appropriate use of assessment results to improve teaching and learning, and ensure consistency in implementing national assessment policies across all key stages.
To uphold the uninterrupted delivery of instruction, the LAC Session was conducted after the instructional period, in accordance with existing DepEd guidelines that ensure professional development activities do not disrupt or diminish learners' contact time. This reflects our commitment to balancing continuous teacher development with the provision of quality learning experiences for every learner.
Through collaborative learning, professional dialogue, and shared best practices, Caingin Elementary School continues to empower its educators in fostering meaningful, evidence-based, and learner-responsive assessment that supports improved educational outcomes.
