Yesterday, July 20, 2026, the Liga ng mga Barangay of San Ricardo successfully conducted โ€œStrengthening Barangay Leadership, Building Stronger Communities" as part of its annual gathering aimed at enhancing the knowledge, competence, and commitment of barangay officials toward responsive and effective local governance.

MLGOO Escuyos provided guidance to the participants,delivered discussions on good governance, the roles and responsibilities of barangay officials, and updates on key DILG programs and policies that promote transparency, accountability, and excellence in public service.

The activity was attended by the Punong Barangays, Sangguniang Barangay Members, Barangay Secretaries, and Barangay Treasurers of the Municipality of San Ricardo. The convergence, facilitated by MLGOO Blossom T. Escuyos, served as a venue for strengthening collaboration among barangay secretaries while providing timely technical guidance on various governance programs and initiatives. The activity highlighted the vital role of barangay secretaries in ensuring efficient local administration through continuous learning, effective coordination, and compliance with government policies and standards.

July 14โ€” In preparation for the upcoming barangay-level assessment, MLGOO Blossom T. Escuyos and Municipal Agriculturist Mr. Lauro Elejorde Jr. met to discuss the conduct of the HAPAG (Halina't Magtanim ng Prutas at Gulay) and KALINISAN (Kalinga at Inisyatiba para sa Malinis na Bayan) evaluation.

The planning session focused on the evaluation criteria, schedule, and coordination mechanisms to ensure a fair, systematic, and comprehensive assessment of participating barangays.
