The Municipality of San Ricardo is now on heightened alert as Typhoon “Tino” enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). Under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Dr. Femilyn Sobrevilla Domingo, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) has officially activated the Operations Center (OpCen) to ensure 24/7 monitoring and coordination of all preparedness and response efforts.

All barangay officials and emergency response teams have been mobilized to conduct situation monitoring, preposition emergency supplies, and ensure that evacuation centers are ready to accommodate affected families if necessary. Rescue vehicles, communication lines, and standby personnel are now on alert for immediate deployment.

Mayor Sobrevilla reminds all San Ricardohanons to stay informed, prepare emergency essentials, and strictly follow safety advisories from PAGASA and the MDRRMC. The public is urged to avoid coastal areas, steep slopes, and flood-prone zones as precautionary measures.

Through vigilance, cooperation, and unity, the Municipality of San Ricardo remains committed to protecting every life and property amid Typhoon Tino’s threat.

𝗡𝗢 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟𝗦 – 𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗣𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗔𝗡 𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗗𝗢

Pursuant to the Tropical Cyclone Bulletin No. 1 issued by the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (DOST-PAGASA) at 11:00 AM today, November 2, 2025, regarding Tropical Storm “TINO” (KALMAEGI), the Municipal Government of San Ricardo hereby announces the SUSPENSION OF CLASSES IN ALL LEVELS (public and private) on Monday and Tuesday, November 3 & 4, 2025.

This decision is made as a precautionary measure to safeguard the welfare of our students, teachers, and school personnel. The weather disturbance may bring strong winds, heavy to intense rainfall, and possible coastal flooding or landslides in parts of Southern Leyte and nearby municipalities. Early suspension of classes will allow families and communities to prepare and take necessary safety precautions.

The Local Government of San Ricardo, in Leadership of Mayor Doktora Femilyn Sobrevilla Domingo through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC), is closely monitoring the situation and has placed all concerned offices and emergency response teams on heightened alert and preparedness status. The PNP, BFP, MDRRMO, and Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committees (BDRRMCs) are directed to coordinate and remain vigilant for any incident that may occur during the weather disturbance.

All residents are advised to:
✅ Stay updated on official weather advisories from DOST-PAGASA and LGU San Ricardo.
✅ Take precautionary actions such as securing your homes and avoiding unnecessary travel, especially in low-lying and landslide-prone areas.
✅ Cooperate with your Barangay Officials and local authorities for safety instructions and possible evacuations if needed.

All classes at all levels and work in government offices (non-essential services) are suspended on November 3 and 4, 2025 due to Typhoon Tino.

This is to ensure everyone’s safety and allow ample time for preparation and emergency response.
Essential offices involved in disaster response and basic services shall remain on duty.

Mayor Doktora Femilyn Sobrevilla Domingo warmly welcomed our BFP personnel during their courtesy visit sa LGU San Ricardo.

Gipa-ila si FO3 Israel Mayorca. ang bag-ong BFP EMT Nurse nga mudugang kalig-on sa atong emergency medical response. Together with him were SF03 Jimmy Adobas, OIC Municipal Fire Marshal, SFO1 Rian Serdan, Deputy, ug FO1 Jonathan Crave.

This visit strengthened the coordination between the LGU and BFP para mas paspas ang serbisyo ug mas luwas ang komunidad. Dako kaayo og tabang ang ilang presensya para sa kaluwasan sa katawhan. Saludo ta sa atong mga bumbero. Padayon sa pagserbisyo! 🚒✨🇵🇭

Mayor Doktora Femilyn Sobrevilla Domingo, together with DILG’s Ma’am Jill and all heads of offices, the LGU San Ricardo actively cunducted the preparation and enhancement of the Comprehensive Development Plan.

The session highlighted important components such as planning structure, ecological profiling, SWOT analysis, and longlisting of PPAs. Through this collaborative effort, mas mapa-lig-on ang direksyon sa kalamboan sa atong munisipyo, ensuring that every program and project is well-planned, data-driven, and aligned with the community’s needs and aspirations.

Mayor Doktora Femilyn Sobrevilla Domingo together with the BFP personnel visited and checked the progress of the new BFP Building in San Ricardo.

Excited kaayo ang tanan kay this infrastructure will enhance emergency response ug mas paspasan nga serbisyo para sa katawhan. Sa inspection, gi-tan-aw ang safety features, functionality sa mga kwarto, ug ang overall nga kalidad sa proyekto.

This soon-to-rise facility will serve as a strong home for our firefighters nga pirmi nagbantay sa kaluwasan sa komunidad. Padayon ang suporta sa LGU to ensure a safer and more prepared San Ricardo. Saludo sa atong mga bumbero! 🚒✨🇵🇭

Today our ever supportive Municipal Mayor Doktora Femilyn Sobrevilla Domingo ug ang MSWDO nga gipangulohan ni Ma’am Joyce Lebron, the Municipality of San Ricardo continues to uphold child protection and family welfare. Today, gi-conduct ang Refresher Training on Handling CAR, CICL, and VAWC cases for Barangays at the SRCS Conference Room, October 27, 2025.

This initiative helps equip our barangay frontliners with the right knowledge ug updated nga procedures sa pag-manage sa sensitive cases involving children at risk, children in conflict with the law, and victims of violence against women and their children. With Valentin A. Escabillas, RSW as the resource person, mas napaligon ang kapasidad sa atong mga stakeholders to respond with compassion, dignity, and professionalism.
