On September 3, 2026, at about 1:00 PM onwards, the Community Affairs Section (CAS), together with SS10 personnel, participated in the National Simultaneous School Safety Drill for Active Attack Incidents held at Camarin Unit II Elementary School, Barangay 178, Caloocan City.

Under the leadership of PCOL JOEY T. GOFORTH, Chief of Police, Caloocan City Police Station, and the supervision of PLT MA GRACIA E BALDERAS, OIC, CAS, the activity aimed to strengthen the preparedness and awareness of the school community.

PSSg Marie Ann Melgar discussed the Avoid, Deny, and Defend principles, emphasizing the importance of staying calm, knowing safe routes, and being familiar with the school’s entrance and exit points during emergencies.

Meanwhile, PCPT RENATO FLORENTINO of SS10 delivered a message on Active Attack Incident Awareness and Response, highlighting preparedness, alertness, discipline, and cooperation.

A total of 150 Grade 4, 5, and 6 students actively participated in the drill, demonstrating cooperation and proper understanding of the safety procedures.

On September 3, 2026, at about 10:00 AM onwards, the Community Affairs Section (CAS) personnel, together with SS12 personnel, participated in the National Simultaneous School Safety Drill for Active Attack Incidents held at Bagong Silang Elementary School, Barangay 176-A, Caloocan City.

Under the leadership of PCOL JOEY T GOFORTH, Chief of Police, Caloocan City Police Station, and under the supervision of PLT MA GRACIA E BALDERAS, OIC, CAS, the activity focused on strengthening the preparedness and awareness of the school community.

PSSg Marie Ann Melgar together with PSSg Jennifer Balmeo, discussed the Avoid, Deny, and Defend principles, emphasizing the importance of staying calm, identifying safe routes, and knowing the school’s entrance and exit points during emergencies.

A total of 700 students participated in the actual safety drill and were orderly evacuated to the designated safe area.

Thereafter, PMAJ EDSEL R. IBASCO of SS12 delivered a message on Active Attack Incident Awareness and Response, highlighting preparedness, alertness, discipline, and cooperation.

During the activity, PSSg John Mikko Camerino discussed the three important responses to an Active Attack Incidentβ€”AVOID, DENY, and DEFEND. He emphasized the importance of avoiding the threat whenever possible, denying access to the threat by securing oneself in a safe location, and defending oneself only as a last resort when confronted with an imminent threat.

He likewise emphasized the importance of being familiar with the school’s entrance and exit points, explaining that the appropriate route may vary depending on the actual situation and circumstances during an emergency. Students were reminded to remain calm, assess the situation, and use the safest available route when seeking safety.

Under the leadership of School Principal Marites Jallorina Tarago, approximately 500 Grade 4 to Grade 6 students actively participated in and cooperated throughout the activity.

The conduct of the drill enhanced the students’ awareness, preparedness, and understanding of the appropriate actions to undertake during an Active Attack Incident. It also strengthened coordination between the school community and responding authorities.

On September 3, 2026, at about 9:00 AM onwards, under the leadership of PCOL JOEY T GOFORTH, Chief of Police, Caloocan City Police Station, and through the supervision of PLT MA GRACIA E BALDERAS, OIC, Community Affairs Section (CAS), personnel from Sub-Station 2, CAS, and the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) participated in the simultaneous school drill in relation to an Active Shooting Incident conducted by San Jose Elementary School.

The activity focused on strengthening the preparedness and response capabilities of the school community through the proper implementation of emergency protocols, including lockdown and evacuation procedures, communication and coordination with responding authorities, movement of pupils and school personnel to designated safe areas, and proper accounting of students, teachers, and other school personnel.

The participation of the Caloocan PNP personnel provided additional support to the school community in enhancing awareness, preparedness, discipline, and appropriate response during an Active Shooting emergency.

The activity was participated in by more or less 150 individuals, including school personnel, teachers, and pupils, under the leadership of Ms. Rochle P. Delos Reyes, Principal I, together with the School Teachers and SPTA.

On September 3, 2026, at about 9:00 AM onwards, under the leadership of PCOL JOEY T GOFORTH, Chief of Police, Caloocan City Police Station, and under the supervision of PLT MA GRACIA E BALDERAS, OIC, Community Affairs Section (CAS), personnel of the CAS participated in and observed the National Simultaneous School Safety Drill conducted at Bagumbong High School, Brgy. 171, Caloocan City.

The activity was participated by PLT MA GRACIA E BALDERAS, OIC, CAS, together with PSSg Abegail P Gutierrez and Pat Lady Kathleen C Podes. Also, providing support and guidance were PLT MARK ANRUE PEΓ‘A, Commander, Sub-Station 9, together with Pat Janwin Eugenio and Pat Diosdado Cabildo.

Under the leadership of School Principal Ginalyn D. Dignos, more or less 1,000 high school students participated in the safety drill.

During the activity, PLT BALDERAS evaluated the conduct of the drill and assessed its effectiveness in enhancing the participants’ preparedness and response capabilities. An information drive through the official page was likewise undertaken to further promote awareness on school safety and emergency preparedness.

PLT MARK ANRUE PEΓ‘A, SS9 Commander, also provided guidance and support, contributing to the successful implementation of the activity.

The drill provided students, teachers, and school personnel with practical knowledge on proper emergency response procedures, including appropriate actions during an active shooter incident.

The participants demonstrated increased awareness, preparedness, coordination, and confidence throughout the simulation.

Overall, the activity successfully strengthened the readiness and resilience of the school community in responding to emergencies and potential threats, emphasizing the importance of preparedness, cooperation, and collective responsibility in maintaining a safe learning environment.
