On August 28, 2026, the Philippine Coconut Authority-Guimaras successfully conducted the National Simultaneous Coconut Planting Activity at Galanto Farm in Brgy. Maabay, Sibunag, Guimaras. This local initiative was carried out in sync with nationwide planting activities highlighting the 40th National Coconut Week celebration.
This activity reflects a unified commitment between different agencies, land owners, community stakeholders and our coconut farmers to secure a resilient, productive, and eco-friendly future for the Philippine coconut industry.

Planting today for a stronger coconut industry and a greener tomorrow!

The Philippine Coconut Authority Region VI conducted the National Simultaneous Coconut Planting Activity 2026 on August 28, 2026, at the Madarag Coconut Seedfarm, Brgy. Madarag, San Enrique, Iloilo, in line with the nationwide conduct of the activity.

The activity was led by Regional Manager III Dr. Neil J. Melencion, together with PCA Region VI and PCA Iloilo Provincial Office personnel, and in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region VI, the Local Government Unit of San Enrique, and the barangay officials and residents of Madarag and San Antonio.

Alongside the planting of coconut seedlings, narra seedlings were also planted in coordination with DENR Region VI, supporting the rehabilitation and greening of areas covered under the Enhanced National Greening Program (E-NGP) 2016โ€“2028.

The activity further strengthened the continuing partnership among PCA, DENR, and the LGU of San Enrique under the Tripartite Memorandum of Agreement covering the Madarag Coconut Seed Farm.

๐ŸŒด Coconut seedlings for the continued development and rehabilitation of the seed farm and the production of quality planting materials for our coconut farmers.

๐ŸŒฑ Narra seedlings for environmental rehabilitation, biodiversity, and a greener future.
