The Philippine Coconut Authority Region VI, represented by its head, Regional Manager III Dr. Neil J. Melencion, was honored with a Certificate of Recognition from Commission on Higher Education Regional Office VI during the 5th Regional Quality Awards held at the West Visayas State University Cultural Center on May 21, 2026.

This recognition underscores the strong partnership between PCA Region VI and CHEDRO VI, particularly in the implementation of the Scholarship Program for Coconut Farmers and their Families (CoScho) under the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan, which provides educational opportunities to qualified coconut farmers and their dependents toward inclusive and sustainable development in the coconut sector.

The award affirms PCA Region VI’s continued commitment to supporting transformative educational initiatives and fostering collaborative efforts that create lasting opportunities for the people of Western Visayas.

We extend our sincere appreciation to CHEDRO VI for this recognition and for its continued partnership in advancing quality higher education in the region.

The Philippine Coconut Authority Region VI - Mobile Health Services na isinagawa noong Mayo 23–24, 2026 sa Candoni, Negros Occidental, ay matagumpay na nakapaglingkod sa mahigit 600 na magsasaka ng niyog at kanilang mga pamilya sa loob ng dalawang araw na aktibidad.

In Region VI, Altavas, Aklan was identified as a pilot convergence area under the CoCollab Regional CFIDP Convergence Program, with the Man-Up Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MMPC) serving as the primary beneficiary and implementing partner.

Through the establishment of the Shared Processing Facility (SPF), alongside technical training, enterprise development, market linkage, financial assistance, and social protection support, the program aims to create resilient cooperatives, empowered farmers, and sustainable coconut communities. 🌴💚

Together, we build a stronger and more progressive coconut industry for every Filipino coconut farmer.
