The Municipality of Santa Catalina is participating in the Training on Disaster Risk Reduction–Climate Change Adaptation (DRR-CCA) and the Community Resilience Implementation Process (CRIP) under the DSWD KALAHI-CIDSS Panahon ng Pagkilos: Philippine Community Resilience Project (PCRP), held on August 5–7, 2026 at R-F Events Accommodation & Catering Services Hall, Poblacion, Santa Catalina, Negros Oriental.

The three-day training brings together Municipal and Barangay Resilience Teams (MResT and BResT) to strengthen local capacities in disaster preparedness, climate change adaptation, and community resilience planning. Through this initiative, participants will gain valuable knowledge and practical strategies to help build safer, more resilient, and disaster-ready communities.

Scholarship Grant Program for Children and Dependents of Sugarcane Industry Workers and Small Sugarcane Farmers (SIDA-SGP)
Open to:
• Incoming first-year college students
• Currently enrolled first-year college students

Scholarship Program for Coconut Farmers and Their Families (COSCHO)
Open to:
• Incoming first-year college students
• Currently enrolled first-year college students

CHED Merit Scholarship Program (CMSP)
Open to:
• Incoming first-year college students
• Currently enrolled first-year college students

These scholarship programs provide financial assistance, including stipends, book allowances, tuition support (where applicable), and other educational benefits for qualified scholars.
