In relation to the Rivers for Life Program of DENR-Central Visayas, a quarterly meeting was held with a staff from DENR-CENRO, MENRO Santa Catalina, NORSU-Bayawan Santa Catalina Campus as well as the Brgy. Officials of Amio, Caigangan, Kabulakan, Obat, Poblacion, and Caranoche.

The meeting discussed continuous monitoring, protection, and conservation efforts toward a vibrant and enhanced Rivers for Life Project of the DENR, which promotes active community participation and strengthens stewardship of the river system.

The DTI Negosyo Center was officially launched inside the New Government Center with a ribbon cutting ceremony led by PD Juliet Banogon, DC Maribel Sumanoy, Municipal Administrator David Lajot, and Engr. Rene Yusingco.

The program started with a welcome message from Municipal Administrator David Lajot. This was followed by a presentation of Negosyo Center services by Ann Eunice Coronel and Jesser.

PD Juliet Banogon then gave an inspiring message, highlighting how the Negosyo Center will help local entrepreneurs and strengthen community businesses.

The event ended with the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the participation of David Lajot, PD Juliet Banogon, DC Maribel Sumanoy, and Councilor Elpedio Electona, Chair of the SB Committee on Trade.

This important milestone shows the strong teamwork between the local government, DTI, and the business sector. It aims to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), encourage inclusive growth, and boost local economic development.
