This coming September 28, 2024 the PYA-SALIDUCON conducted a Color Fun Run Activity connected to our 22nd Araw ng Saliducon. Starting time at 3:30am end at 7:00 am at Purok Biyo - Saliducon Elementary School.

This activity aims to create a positive impact by encouraging youth to stay active and healthy through fun activities and empower youth with leadership opportunities.

To participate in this event, I encourage everyone to get their tickets. They’re now available for only 20 pesos, so don’t miss out on the fun!

In partnership with the Saliducon Youth Association- SLP the Environmental and Natural Resources Management Division (ENRMD) of Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur will conduct a 2-Day Training to promote and materialize the 3R’s in adherence to Solid Waste Management efforts relevant to SDG No. 13 Climate Action.

We are inviting members of SAYA-SLP who are willing to learn and explore their creative side to take part in environmental preservation and protection through creative and sustainable action.

Tawag Ng Kantahan Season 2 and Sangguniang Kabataan Social Night resonated with the 1st Saliduk Festival as a tribute to keeping our progenitors' efforts through unraveling potentials and gifts in celebrating harmonious living that encourages personal and communal growth.

The sensation of this remarkable festival was graced by the heartfelt welcome remarks of our Punong Barangay Hon. Chona C. Eting with the presence of the Sangguniang Bayan Members: Hon. Anselmo "Boy" Datu, Hon. Atty. Michel Bajo, and Hon. Nestor Crave through addressing the people with their message of support, headed by our Municipal Mayor Hon. Jose Nelson Z. Sala Sr.

This initiative ignited the youth's active participation in the collaborative effort of the Pag-asa Youth Association headed by Ms. Jessabel B. Cayog and Sangguiniang Kabataan of Brgy Saliducon headed by Hon. Ryan T. Elio with the superb leadership of Hon. Perfecta Estaca Udo as the official Event Organizer/Host together with the exquisite skills of our Senior Officer Mr. Anthony Salica.

We are calling upon the talented singers of Sta. Cruz, join us for TNK S.2. Once again, we will have the privilege of experiencing the awe-inspiring voices of another batch of extraordinary singers.

Mechanics:
Open for all aspiring contenders:
• Exclusive for Santa Cruzians’ only
• Present 1 valid I.D. as proof of residency.
Must be 15 years old and above.
Submit your entry before August 14, 2024.
The performance must not exceed 5 minutes.
Any genre is allowed and each contestant is required to prepare two songs.
Must provide their music stored in Flash Drive/USB and/or phone to avoid inconvenience during the contest.

Barangay Saliducon stands as the ancestral domain of the Bagobo-Tagabawa Tribe, which has nurtured the land since time immemorial. The name "Saliducon" originates from the Bagobo term "saliduk" signifying a spring of water, about the abundant fresh spring water present in the area, known as "uluhan" or "the main spring." The Indigenous community embodies resilience, embracing change while preserving their rich and meaningful traditions.

The Saliduk’ Festival embodies an era of abundance, cultural importance, fellowship, and principles. This event occupies a unique and significant position in paying tribute to the traditions of our ancestors, acknowledging the kindness shown to us, and honoring those who live together in harmony, motivating individual and collective improvement. It demonstrates successful administration and guidance, backed by our committed Barangay Officials.
