Santa Cruz Fire Station Personnel spearheaded by FSINSP GAYLE S SOLAMO, Municipal Fire Marshal under the supervision of FSUPT LUCILYN B JUSAY, Provincial Fire Marshal of Davao del Sur thru the leadership of FCSUPT ALVEN D VALDEZ, DSC, Regional Director of BFP RXI, took part as an evaluator to the flood drill at Barangay Bato, Santa Cruz, Davao del Sur. It plays a vital role in emergency preparedness, equipping the community with essential skills and knowledge to effectively respond during actual flooding events. Its primary purpose is to raise awareness about flood risks and safety protocols while training participants in evacuation procedures and emergency response. This drill also familiarizes residents with local resources and available shelters. The significance lies in strengthening community resilience, reducing the risk of injuries and fatalities by ensuring that everyone knows how to act in an emergency. Additionally, it enhances coordination among local authorities, emergency services, and residents, fostering a unified response. Ultimately, by engaging in these drills, the community becomes better prepared and more resilient, saving lives and minimizing property damage during real flooding situations.
