Global immunization efforts have led to an 88% drop in measles deaths between 2000 and 2024. Nearly 59 million lives have been saved by the measles vaccine since 2000.

Despite fewer deaths, measles cases are now surging worldwide due to conflicts, supply disruptions and rise in vaccine misinformation.

At least 95% measles vaccine coverage is needed in all communities to prevent hashtag and stop outbreaks.

The only way to prevent measles? Two doses of measles vaccine.

Flu can be mild, severe, or even fatal. It causes 290,000 to 650,000 deaths globally every year.

Make sure you take all the preventive measures:

‼️DOH: ROAD CRASH INJURIES, PINAKAMARAMI SA MGA KABATAANG MOTORISTA‼️

Umabot na sa 1,113 ang kabuuang bilang ng road crash injuries na naitala ng Department of Health (DOH) mula Disyembre 21, 2025 hanggang Enero 2, 2026.

Mas mataas ito ng halos 82% kumpara sa parehong panahon noong nakaraang taon.

508 kaso o halos 50% ay kinasasangkutan ng mga kabataang edad 15 hanggang 29 years old.

Samantala, 965 naman o halos 87% ang hindi gumamit ng safety accessories gaya ng helmet at seatbelt.

Edad 26-16 o mga kabataan ang 4 sa 7 kataong nasawi sa magkakahiwalay na insidente at 6 dito ay kinasasangkutan ng motorsiklo, kabilang ang isang pedestrian.

Kaya muling paalala ng DOH sa publiko, lalo na sa mga motorista:
✅I-check ang sasakyan bago bumiyahe
✅Laging gumamit ng safety accessories gaya ng DTI-approved na helmet, seatbelt, at car seat
✅Iwasan ang mabilis na pagmamaneho
✅’Wag magmaneho kung puyat o nakainom
✅Sundin ang batas-trapiko
