TURNING HARDSHIPS INTO A NEW BEGINNING!

When life threw sudden challenges at Jennie Dela Peña (Zamora), she stood strong for her family. After her husband fell ill in 2019 and the pandemic brought severe business setbacks, Jennie faced immense financial difficulty running her two local stores in Sta. Maria and Pandi, Bulacan. By early 2022, with her remaining money almost gone, she was on the verge of closing down her store in Pandi.

In 2022, good news happened when DTI Bulacan and Negosyo Center Pandi selected Jennie to receive a ₱10,000 livelihood recovery grant. That timely boost multiplied her remaining capital fivefold, allowing her to keep the store open, pay her store assistant, and eventually expand her shop to offer more daily necessities.
