Sta. Monica PNPβs Best Practice dubbed as Project βKalayakihan Pahibay-on, VAWC Sugpoonβ
PMSg Helen Jane L Cabalo, WCPD PNCO of Sta. Monica Municipal Police Station in collaboration with LGU Sta. Monica, conducts Lecture on Salient Points of RA No. 9262 known as βAnti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004β, Salient Points of RA No. 11930 known as "Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) Act of 2022" and Salient Points of RA No. 8353 known as "Anti-Rape Law of 1997" to the male residents from Brgy. Magsaysay, Barangay Rizal, Brgy. T.Arlan and Barangay Tangbo, Sta. Monica, Surigao del Norte. This is part of the Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) activities in lined to the 2025 National Womenβs Month Celebration (NWMC) carries the sub-theme: βBabae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas.β This is also in relation to the Sta. Monica PNPβs Best Practice dubbed as Project βKalayakihan Pahibay-on, VAWC Sugpoonβ in which EMPOWERS MEN in the community on the rights of women and children so that they will know how to empower, promote and protect the same and encourages them to be advocates in ending all forms of abuse and violence against women and children.
Through this, men will be well-informed of the salient points of above said law especially on its prohibited acts and penalties so that they will never commit any of the prohibited acts and above all, prevention of all forms of domestic and gender-based violence and all forms of sexual abuse will be strengthened.
