The regular session was held on Monday and was presided by Engr. Ferdinand L. Salalila, Vice Mayor. Included in the Order of Business was the proposed resolution granting gratuity to all barangay officials who have served three (3) consecutive terms, sponsored by SB Member Rico Sta. Cruz.

During the same session, the Annual Budgets for Fiscal Year 2026 of Barangays San Agustin and San Jose were duly reviewed and approved.

The Sanggunian continues to uphold its commitment to transparency and integrity in the performance of its functions as a local legislative body, while steadfastly promoting the general welfare of the Ritenians.

A Budget Hearing was held today for the review of the Annual Budget of Barangays San Agustin and San Jose for Fiscal Year 2026. The hearing was presided by Councilor Rico Sta. Cruz, Chairperson of the Committee on Appropriations. Also present were the Members of the Sangguniang Bayan, Punong Barangay of San Agustin Hon. Joel Ronquillo, LnB President, Punong Barangay of San Jose Hon. Jexter Pineda, Barangay Kagawads, SK Chairpersons, as well as the Barangay Secretaries and Treasurers.

The proposed budgets were thoroughly reviewed and carefully studied by the Sangguniang Bayan in the exercise of its review powers under the Local Government Code.

The Sangguniang Bayan maintains its commitment to transparency and accountability, ensuring the steadfast delivery of basic services to the Ritenians.

The regular session was held today and was presided by Hon. Romeo L. Valencia, Sanggunian Member. During the session, several resolutions authorizing the Local Chief Executive (LCE) to enter into Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) were formulated, pursuant to the request of the Municipal Mayor, Hon. Reynan S. Calo. These include the MOA with PENRO for the construction of the Linear Park; the MOA with the Department of Agriculture (DA) for the operationalization of the Santa Monica Farmers Program; the MOA with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) for the Birth Registration Assistance Project; and the MOA with the Municipality of Sasmuan for the services of the Balay Silangan Reformatory Center.

Also included in the agenda were the Annual Budgets of San Jose and San Agustin for Fiscal Year 2026, as well as the proposed ordinance regulating the use of drones, laser lights, kites, and balloons, which were scheduled for public hearing.

The Local Sanggunian, as the legislative body of the municipality, remains committed to formulating resolutions and enacting ordinances for the benefit of the Ritenians, steadfast in its dedication to public service and aligned with the effective delivery of basic services.

The Sangguniang Bayan convened its regular session today under the leadership of Vice Mayor Engr. Ferdinand L. Salalila. Among the matters taken up was the request of Municipal Mayor Hon. Reynan Calo seeking the Sanggunianโ€™s concurrence in the appointment of Mr. Earl P. Tongol as Municipal Administrator, a statutory requirement prior to the completion of appointment of a department head under Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991.

Pursuant to Section 443(d) in relation to Section 480 of the Local Government Code, the concurrence of the Sangguniang Bayan is necessary for the appointment of certain local officials, including the Municipal Administrator. After a thorough deliberation and careful evaluation of the qualifications prescribed by law, the members of the Sanggunian unanimously approved the request.

The Sanggunian emphasized that appointments to public office must strictly adhere to the standards of competence, integrity, and accountability as mandated by law. In line with the constitutional principle that public office is a public trust, the Body asserted its commitment to uphold transparency and merit in all government appointments, always acting in the best interest of the community.

A Committee Hearing En Banc was conducted yesterday presided by Councilor Renato Gopez, Chairperson of the Committee on Environment, to deliberate on matters concerning Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM). The hearing focused on the review and adoption of key contingency plans, including the Local Climate Change Adaptation Plan, the Contingency Plans for Earthquake and Flooding, and other related preparedness frameworks.

The activity was attended by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer (MDRRMO), Mr. Bryan Lumba, who provided technical inputs on emergency preparedness, response strategies, and rapid action protocols. Various emergency and quick response mechanisms were thoroughly examined to ensure an effective, coordinated, and timely response before, during, and after disaster events.

The Sangguniang Bayan, as the local legislative body of the Local Government Unit of Santa Rita, is committed to delivering efficient, responsive, and transparent governance in safeguarding the welfare and safety of its constituents.

The regular session held yesterday was presided over by Vice Mayor Engr. Ferdinand L. Salalila and attended by the Members of the Sangguniang Bayan. During the session, the august body considered the request of the Municipal Mayor, Hon. Reynan Calo, to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Provincial Government of Pampanga for the rehabilitation of the Santa Rita Covered Court in the amount of Five Million Pesos (โ‚ฑ5,000,000.00).

The Sanggunian likewise approved the extension of the renewal of business permits for business establishments and motorcycle-for-hire operators until March 13, 2026, to give them ample time to comply with the required documents.

Transparency, accountability, and commitment to public service remain the guiding principles of the Sangguniang Bayan, serving the people and working for the people of Santa Rita.
