𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗔𝗖, 𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗖, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗧𝗙-𝗘𝗟𝗖𝗔𝗖 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴

Sta. Rita Fire Station led by SFO2 Theodore Winston D Porbus actively participated in the 2nd Quarterly Meeting of the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC), and Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (MTF-ELCAC) held at the MDDR Building, 3rd Floor Function Hall, Municipal Grounds, Sta. Rita, Samar.

The activity gathered representatives from various government agencies, law enforcement units, barangay officials, and partner stakeholders to discuss updates on peace and order initiatives, anti-drug abuse programs, and collaborative efforts in sustaining public safety and community security within the municipality.

The meeting served as a venue to assess ongoing programs, strengthen inter-agency coordination, and reaffirm the commitment of participating agencies in promoting a peaceful, orderly, and resilient community.

Sta. Rita Fire Station remains steadfast in supporting the programs and initiatives of the Local Government Unit through active participation and strengthened partnership towards a safer and more progressive Sta. Rita, Samar.

𝗘𝗠𝗦 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗘𝗦

EMS personnel of Sta. Rita Fire Station, under the supervision of SFO2 Theodore Winston D Porbus, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, responded to the following emergencies within the municipality:

At 2000H, 05 May 2026, the EMS team responded to a medical assistance request involving a 60-year-old female patient experiencing facial numbness, blurred vision, and hypertension.

At 0555H, 06 May 2026, the EMS team responded to an electrocution incident at Brgy. Bougainvilla. The victims were a couple—a 32-year-old female and a 38-year-old male—from Brgy San Miguel , Tanauan, Leyte, both employees of the bingo booth at the town fair located in the said barangay. The female sustained second-degree burns on the left temporal area of the face.

At 1126H, 06 May 2026, the EMS team responded to a medical transport request involving a 54-year-old male patient experiencing severe pain in the right lower extremity from Brgy. Hinangutdan.

In all incidents, the EMS team administered appropriate first aid, continuously monitored the patients’ vital signs, and safely transported them to higher medical facilities for further medical evaluation and management.

On May 4, 2026, the Emergency Medical Service of Sta. Rita Fire Station, under the leadership of SFO2 Theodore Winston D Porbus, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, responded to a call for medical assistance at Brgy. Gumamela, Sta. Rita, Samar involving a 32-year-old female patient with complaints of back pain, lack of sleep, and intermittent fever.

Upon assessment, the patient was promptly assisted and safely transported to St. Paul’s Hospital for further medical evaluation and treatment.

01 May 2026 | SANTARITAKBO 2026: A Strong and Successful Kick-Off

BFP Sta. Rita led by SFO2 Theodore Winston D Porbus proudly shares the successful conduct of SANTARITAKBO 2026, marking an energetic and meaningful Day 1 kick-off of Sta. Rita Town Fiesta Celebration.

Here are some running tips To make sure you feel your best on race day:

1. 𝗧𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿" 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴
Now is not the time to hit your personal record in training. Start scaling back your mileage to let your muscles recover. Keep your legs moving with short, easy jogs just to stay loose.

2. 𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆
Don't wait until the morning of the race to chug water. Start increasing your water intake now. Aim for consistent hydration throughout the day so your cells are fully saturated by race morning.

3. 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗿
𝗥𝘂𝗹𝗲 #𝟭 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴: Nothing new on race day.

Don’t wear brand-new shoes (avoid those blisters!).

Don’t try a new "energy drink" or a heavy meal you’ve never had before.

Stick to the gear and breakfast that you know works for your body.

4. 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗦𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗽
The sleep you get two nights before the race is actually the most important. If you’re nervous the night before and can’t sleep, don’t panic, as long as you rested well the night before that, you’ll have plenty of energy.

5. 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗞𝗶𝘁
Lay out your clothes, bib, socks, and shoes the night before. This eliminates "race day jitters" and ensures you aren't scrambling to find a lost sock at 5:00 AM!
