National Food Authority (NFA) Administrator Larry R. Lacson, PhD, joined key government leaders and decision-makers at the 2026 Arangkada Forum on October 9 at the Marriott Hotel in Pasay City, where he served as one of the speakers representing the government sector.

The forum brought together leaders from government and the business community to exchange perspectives on the policies, priorities, and opportunities shaping the Philippine economy.

Administrator Lacson’s participation placed the NFA in the broader discussion on the country’s economic direction, particularly the importance of food security and a resilient agricultural sector in sustaining national development.

Through engagements such as the Arangkada Forum, the NFA contributes to discussions on the challenges and opportunities that affect the country’s food supply and the welfare of Filipino farmers and consumers.

On October 5, 2026, NFA Region 02 Regional Manager II Engr. Julius B. Sugue, together with newly designated NFA Cagayan Branch Manager Joseph M. Candava, Supervising Grains Officer Mann Kristoffer Domingo, and Acting Branch Engineer Kristian Jeff Quiboyen, conducted a series of coordination and project inspection activities in Cagayan.

The team also paid courtesy visits to Municipal Mayor Hon. Lucille Angelus Guillen-Yapo of LGU Claveria and Municipal Mayor Marie Angelie A. Vargas of LGU Abulug, Cagayan, as part of the continuing effort to strengthen coordination and partnership with local government units.

They also conducted a site inspection of the proposed lot donation in Ballesteros, Cagayan in coordination with SB Loren O. Bonifacio, PhD., project and warehouse inspection in Allacapan, Cagayan, and project inspection in Camalaniugan, Cagayan.

The field activities reaffirm NFA Region 02’s commitment to strengthening local partnerships, monitoring projects and facilities, and ensuring that its operations continue to support food security and buffer stocking.
