Hanging of Tarpaulin for Peace Consciousness Month 2026

On October 2, 2026, at about 9:32 AM, PNP personnel of the Santo Tomas Municipal Police Station, led by PMSg Bernie L Polo, PCR PNCO, together with Force Multipliers, under the direct supervision of PMAJ EDUARDO J CORPUZ, OIC, conducted the hanging of a tarpaulin in support of the observance of Peace Consciousness Month 2026, with the theme “Kaapayapaan Pagtibayin, Kaunlaran Paigtingin.”

The activity was conducted at Feeder Road 3, Barangay Tibal-og, Santo Tomas, Davao del Norte, to promote peace awareness and strengthen public support for peace and development.

PRESS RELEASE

SANTO TOMAS MPS ARRESTS HVI IN JOINT BUY-BUST OPERATION

Santo Tomas, Davao del Norte — On October 2, 2026, at about 1:10 AM, SDEU and Intelligence personnel of Santo Tomas MPS, led by PCMS Jerry L. Casas under the supervision of PMAJ EDUARDO J CORPUZ, OIC, together with personnel from 2nd DNPMFC, PIU Davao del Norte, RID11, PIT Davao del Norte, and PDEA DNPO, conducted a joint buy-bust operation at Purok 4, Fd Rd 1, Brgy. Tibal-og, Santo Tomas, Davao del Norte.

The operation resulted in the arrest of alias “KING,” 21, HVI, for violation of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

Confiscated during the operation were approximately 520 grams of suspected dried ma*****na leaves, another sachet containing approximately 4 grams of suspected dried ma*****na leaves, marked money, one genuine ₱100 bill, an iPhone, and a black sling bag.

The arrested suspect and confiscated evidence are currently under the custody of Santo Tomas MPS for proper disposition and appropriate legal proceedings.

Bike Patrol
On October 2, 2026, at about 8:26 AM, PNP Personnel led by PMSg Renan V Banquil, Patrol Member of Santo Tomas Municipal Police Station conducted Bike Patrolling and Visibility Operations in key areas of convergence of Santo Tomas.
The initiative aimed to ensure the safety and security of the general public. The deployment of the Bike Patrol Team was part of the strategic effort to establish police presence in areas with high foot traffic and mobility areas.

On October 2, 2026, at 8:00 AM, PLT EVA N MOLDOVAN, WCPD/ADMIN OFFICER of Santo Tomas Municipal Police Station conducted a Police Information and Continuing Education (PICE).
The activity emphasized professionalism, courtesy, responsiveness, and proactive engagement with civilians. It highlighted that through consistent good deeds, acts of kindness, and transparent communication, police personnel can strengthen public confidence and legitimacy—essential elements for effective law enforcement and community safety.
Following the PICE, a Squad Weekly Interactive Meeting (SWIM) was conducted in relation to the PNP Revitalized Internal Cleansing Program, officiated by the Values Life Coach. The activity was held at Santo Tomas Municipal Police Station, Brgy. Tibal-og, Santo Tomas, Davao del Norte.

On October 2, 2026 at 8:14 AM, personnel of Santo Tomas Municipal Police Station led by PLT EVA N MOLDOVAN, WCPD/ADMIN OFFICER, conducted a simultaneous checkpoint operation at National Highway, Brgy. New Katipunan, Santo Tomas, Davao del Norte. All private and public utility vehicles passing through the area were properly flagged down and subjected to visual inspection.

This activity forms part of the intensified police visibility and anti-criminality campaign of the station. Strategically placed and randomly conducted checkpoints serve as a proactive measure to deter criminal elements, intercept wanted persons, prevent the transport of illegal drugs, loose fi****ms, and other contraband, and ensure that lawless individuals are discouraged from operating within the municipality.

The operation was carried out with utmost professionalism, respect for human rights, and strict adherence to police protocols. Motorists and commuters were reminded to cooperate with authorities and to always carry the necessary documents while traveling. Through sustained checkpoint operations and active community partnership, Santo Tomas MPS remains committed to maintaining peace, order, and public safety in the Municipality of Santo Tomas.

PICE
On October 1, 2026 at about 7:51 PM, PLT EVA N MOLDOVAN, WCPD/ADMIN OFFICER, of Santo Tomas Municipal Police Station, conducted a Pre-Deployment Briefing and Police Information and Continuing Education (PICE) for all on-duty personnel. The activity was conducted at the station premises in Brgy. Tibal-og, Santo Tomas, Davao del Norte. PLT MOLDOVAN underscored the importance of operational readiness. Personnel were reminded to strictly adhere to established police operational procedures, maintain heightened alertness, and exercise vigilance at all times to effectively prevent and respond to any untoward incidents. The activity reinforced discipline, coordination, and professionalism among personnel.

POLICE VISIBILITY
On Octobee 1, 2026 at about 3:47 AM, personnel led by PMSg Gary Aripuddin, Patrol Membed of Santo Tomas MPS conducted police visibility and Visitation to the Security personnel of Santo Tomas National High School to ensure a safe, orderly, and peaceful classes for students. The presence of police officers aims to provide security, assist students and parents, manage traffic flow, and deter criminal activities, ensuring that learners can focus on their education in a safe environment. Through this initiative, Santo Tomas MPS reaffirms its commitment to ensuring a safe, peaceful, and secure opening of classes for School Year 2026–2027.
