𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗞𝗮𝗶𝗟𝗬𝗮𝗡𝗡: 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵

The Local Government Unit of Santol, in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development through the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), successfully conducted the Ceremonial Awarding of Seed Capital Fund held at the Santol Town Plaza last May 13, 2026.

The activity was attended by various Sustainable Livelihood Program Associations (SLPAs) from the different barangays of the municipality, who received assistance aimed at strengthening their livelihood projects and improving their economic opportunities.

During the program, messages of support and encouragement were delivered by LGU and DSWD representatives, including Honorable Maria Theresa Lynn Wailan-Senen, who reaffirmed the commitment of the LGU in supporting community-based livelihood initiatives and empowering every kakaiLYaNN toward sustainable growth and self-sufficiency.

The ceremonial awarding benefited the following SLPAs: Gawi-Gawis Tubaday SLPA, Binadang Tubaday SLPA, Tubaday Proper SLPA, Puguil Softbroom SLPA, Puguil Agri-Tribo SLPA, Makagud Sasaba SLPA, Kasiyana Sasaba SLPA, Ramot Swine Producers SLPA, Lettac Sur Agri-Print SLPA, Siglat Lettac Sur SLPA, Lettac Norte Talipapa SLPA, Lettac Norte Agri-Unity SLPA, Itan PGA Corro-oy SLPA, and Corro-oy Community Enterprise SLPA.

This initiative reflects the continuing efforts of the LGU and DSWD in providing opportunities that promote livelihood development, financial empowerment, and inclusive progress for the people of Santol.

| 𝗢𝗘𝗙 𝗞𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗽𝗮𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗸 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽

The OEF Kannawid Dance Group, together with proud Santolian Chloe Puno, paid a courtesy call to the Honorable Mayor Maria Theresa Lynn Wailan-Senen before participating in the 44th National Folk Dance Workshop to be held on May 17–23, 2026, at the Iloilo Sports Complex Covered Gym.

The workshop, organized by the Samahang Tagapagtaguyod ng Katutubong Sayaw ng Pilipinas in partnership with the Cultural Center of the Philippines and other cultural institutions, aims to promote and preserve Filipino culture, heritage, and traditional dances through learning, creativity, and cultural exchange.

Mayor Wailan-Senen expressed her appreciation and full support to the group, especially to Chloe Puno, for proudly representing Santol and showcasing the talent, passion, and artistry of Santolian youth on a national stage.

The LGU wishes the delegation a meaningful and successful participation as they continue to promote cultural appreciation and bring pride and honor to the municipality through dance and artistic excellence.

LGU Santol proudly witnessed the blessing and turnover of the newly acquired Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) and the improved Barangay Health Station in Barangay Tubaday—an important step toward stronger and more responsive basic services for the community.

This milestone was graced by the Honorable Mayor Maria Theresa Lynn Wailan-Senen, together with Barangay Captain Johnny Sadao, Engr. Magno A. Wailan, the consultant of public works and infrastructure, local officials, and community members who continue to support initiatives that bring government services closer to the people.

The MPV will greatly enhance emergency response, mobility, and disaster preparedness, while the Barangay Health Station will strengthen access to primary healthcare services for all residents of Tubaday.

LGU Santol extends its gratitude to all partners and stakeholders who contributed to making this initiative possible. This achievement reflects our continued commitment to a healthier, safer, and more progressive community.

Together, we move forward in unity and service for every Santolian.

𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲: 𝟭𝟯𝟮 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲

Through the support of Honorable Mayor Maria Theresa Lynn Wailan-Senen, the Local Government Unit of Santol, in partnership with TESDA La Union and Land Transportation Office Region 1, successfully conducted the 2-day Free LTO Theoretical Driving Course for residents of the municipality, participated in by 132 aspiring drivers from May 16-17, 2026.

The activity aims to equip participants with proper knowledge on road safety, traffic rules and regulations, responsible driving, and road discipline as part of the requirements in securing a driver’s license from the Land Transportation Office.

Mayor Wailan-Senen continues to support programs that provide learning opportunities, empower the community, and promote safer roads for every kakaiLYaNN.

This initiative reflects the LGU’s commitment to delivering accessible, meaningful, and people-centered public services for the community.
