In light of Proclamation No. 1077, dated November 6, 2025, which declares a State of National Calamity, all elective and appointive local government officials and employees are reminded that all applications for Foreign Travel Authority (FTA)—whether for official or unofficial travel—must be approved by the Secretary of the Interior and Local Government (SILG), consistent with Office of the President Administrative Order No. 6, s. 2001.

In line with this, strict compliance with the procedures and requirements under DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2025-023 is required. LGU officials and employees are strongly encouraged to plan ahead, submit applications within the prescribed period, and ensure that all documentary requirements are complete to avoid delays in approval.

Stay informed and adhere to the established guidelines to ensure a smooth, authorized, and hassle-free overseas travel.

ICYMI 👀 — the DILG just dropped MC 2026-006, and it’s loud and clear:

❌ 𝗡𝗼 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀
❌ 𝗡𝗼 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀
❌ 𝗡𝗼 𝗽𝗮-𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗹

𝟏. 𝐏𝐀𝐆𝐒𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐀 𝐍𝐆 𝐑𝐄𝐊𝐋𝐀𝐌𝐎.
