๐ŸŒง๏ธThe region is likely to experience below normal rainfall in October and December and way below normal rainfall for the rest of the forecasted period that generally may cause reduced water availability and possible moisture stress affecting crops and livestock.
๐Ÿ’ง23-29 Dry days may increase risk of drought stress, crop yield reduction, and limited water supply.
๐ŸŒ€3-5 Tropical Cyclone expected in PAR may cause strong winds that increased risk of crop lodging/breakage, livestock and poultry facility damage, and disruption of farm operations.

โ€ŽILOCOS NORTE & LA UNION โ€” Upang matiyak ang katatagan at tamang pamamahala ng pondo ng mga kooperatiba at asosasyon ng magsasaka, matagumpay na isinagawa ng Department of Agriculture - Regional Field Office I (DA-RFO I) sa pamamagitan ng Adaptation and Mitigation Initiative in Agriculture (AMIA) Program ang dalawang araw na Training on Bookkeeping and Financial Management nitong Setyembre 24-25, 2026.

โ€ŽAng pagsasanay ay isinagawa nang sabay sa dalawang klaster: ang unang klaster ay para sa mga AMIA Villages ng Ilocos Sur at Ilocos Norte na ginanap sa Northview Hotel, Ilocos Norte; habang ang ikalawang klaster naman ay para sa mga lalawigan ng La Union at Pangasinan na idinaos sa J & V Hotel, Bauang, La Union. Layon ng programa na itaas ang antas ng kaalaman ng mga kalahok pagdating sa wastong pag-iingat ng talaan at pagpapalago ng kanilang mga pangkabuhayang produkto.

โ€ŽKabilang sa mga tinalakay ay Financial Management and Basic Bookkeeping Principles na pangunahing kaalaman sa pagtatala ng transaksiyon at pagpapanatili ng malinaw na rekord pinansyal; Concepts on Agribusiness Financial Management - ito ang pag-unawa sa mga estratehiya upang mapalago ang agribusiness at mapamahalaan ang mga panganib sa Negosyo; at Basic Accounting and Financial Management for Farmers Association kung saan ito naman ay ang paggabay sa mga asosasyon kung paano epektibong pamahalaan ang kanilang mga pondo, assets, at pananagutan.

โ€ŽSa pamamagitan ng mga pagsasanay na ito, inaasahang magiging mas handa at tiwala na ang mga miyembro ng Farmers Associations sa buong Rehiyon I sa pagpapatakbo ng kanilang mga negosyo sa agrikultura. Bahagi ito ng patuloy na pagsisikap ng DA-RFO I - AMIA Program na itaguyod ang matatag, ligtas sa klima, at napapanatiling kabuhayan para sa mga magsasaka sa rehiyon.
