The Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (LDRRMO) of Siay advises residents in the flood-prone Barangays of:
CAMANGA
BALAGON
MINSULAO
PARUK
LAGTING
SIBUGUEY
and SALINDING
to remain vigilant due to continuous heavy rains that have caused rising water levels in rivers, creeks, and low-lying areas.
As of this advisory, 24 families in Purok 7 Barangay Paruk, have already been affected. Purok 1,2,3,4,5, 6 and several rice fields (palayan) in the area have also been inundated, causing damage to agricultural crops and livelihoods.
Residents in the affected Barangays are advised to:
•Continuously monitor updates and advisories from local authorities.
•Prepare for possible evacuation if water levels continue to rise.
•Secure important documents, food supplies, medicines, and emergency kits.
•Avoid crossing flooded roads, rivers, and bridges.
Immediately report emergencies and flooding incidents to barangay officials or the LDRRMO.
The LDRRMO and concerned agencies are closely monitoring the situation and are prepared to provide assistance to affected families.
