A river never flows backwards. It does not mourn the water that has already passed. It simply flows through storms and valleys, around stones and broken banks, despite the hardships it may encounter, it hopes that every end leads it closer to the sea.
No one can really say that their river was ever peaceful because it would not be one if it was. A human life goes through different stages, different experiences, everyone goes through grief and sadness at least once in their life but the one thing that differ us from each other is how we take this storm, whether we let the waves swallow and drown us or whether we swim through every wave that passes and triumph in the end. Life was never meant to flow easily; it encounters storm, it encounters lost, just like a river, it can be calm today and raging the next, you can never really know but one thing stays true, the flow goes on.
The river is a reminder that it doesnโt matter how quickly we arrive but how we bravely and faithfully continue despite the challenges that may come are way. There are moments when the water is calm and there are moments when the water would rage and clash against rocks and yet no matter what, the water never stops moving, in the same way, our lives are transformed not by avoiding hardships, but the strength to move forward, trusting that every struggle carries us closer to who weโre really meant to be.
The river never looks back, not because it forgotten where it came from but because it understands that life is found in moving forward. The struggles may change our course, but it doesnโt have to be our destination.
