We proudly celebrate the successful implementation and turnover of the Multipurpose Building for Barangay Poblacion, a vital sub-project under Kalahi-CIDSS DSWD. This milestone would not have been achievable without the collective efforts and unwavering support from various individuals and groups.

1. Community Volunteers: Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the dedicated community volunteers, led by Evelyn Junasa, BDC-TWG Chairperson. Their continuous commitment, despite their busy schedules as mothers, wives, BHWs, BNs, Day Care workers, and Tanods, has been instrumental throughout the project's journey.

2. Municipal Local Government Unit: A special thanks to the Honorable Municipal Mayor Lionel Bacaltos, the Honorable Municipal Vice Mayor Mariano "Dotis" Laude, and the Sangguniang Bayan members. Their authorization of a 300 square meter site and the allocation of 200,000 pesos (100,000 pesos for each phase) were crucial for this project's success. We also appreciate the technical assistance provided by the Municipal Inter-Agency Committee (MIAC) members, including Edna Lorna C. Otero (MBO/MCT-AC), Engr. Ian Miranda (MCT-TF), Dann Ronnielle Sarnillo (MA/MCT-MFA), Dr. Fe Lynn Tampon (MHO), Engr. Retche Fiel (ME), Engr. Kristianne Joseph Saniel, (MPDO) Susan Tolentino (MLGOO/DILG), Damiano Ofquero Jr. (MDRRMO), Teodora Maricel Ortiz (MSWDO designate), Maria Lourdes Mondido (GAD Focal), and Jelina Delos Reyes.

3.Barangay Local Government Unit of Poblacion: Our sincere thanks to Punong Barangay Hon. Nestor "Tatay Nestor" Ponce and the Barangay Councils for their substantial cash counterpart contribution of 2,008,911.80 pesos (769,080.00 pesos for Phase 1 and 1,239,831.80 pesos for Phase 2).

The total grant provided by Kalahi DSWD amounted to 3,443,954.48 pesos (2,295,969.65 pesos for Phase 1 and 1,147,984.83 pesos for Phase 2). Additionally, the in-kind contributions from the community, BLGU officials, MIAC members, and MLGU officials were invaluable.

This project stands as a testament to the power of collaboration and dedication. Thank you all for your remarkable efforts and commitment to improving our community.

A volunteer is a word that stands alone, embodying dedication and commitment to helping develop their community, even when there's nothing to gain personally. They sacrifice their time, effort, and even time with family or children to support their community. Volunteers hope that community leaders will cherish and appreciate the hard work they invest, despite being ordinary citizens. Volunteers are the backbone of the Kalahi-CIDSS program, assisting the local government units (LGUs) in fostering better development.

Brief Orientation of the new program under DSWD, the Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project (PMNP). This project focuses on child stunting and other nutrition issues in our country especially in the municipality of Sibonga. In Region 7 there are 24 municipalities being recipients of this project and Sibonga is one of this. According to DOH and National Nutrition Council stunting is the key problem to solve among all forms of malnutrition. This is one of the undying issues in our country. There are different plans and strategies from different stakeholders to end or resolve these issues however, malnutrition is still increasing year by year. Therefore, PMNP was made to address and strengthen the existing plans and strategies of different stakeholders and agencies with regards to this issue.

Project Development Objective
To increase the utilization of a package of nutrition-specific and nutrition sensitive interventions and improve key behaviors and practices known to reduce stunting in targeted LGUs.

This effort would be useless if there is no support from the LGU and especially the affected families or individuals.
