Last MARCH 26, 2026, The Municipal Agriculture Office of Sibulan, Negros Oriental, successfully hosted the Kadiwa ng Pangulo, a collaborative event that united regional producers and various government sectors to provide the community with budget-friendly, high-quality food options.
The program highlighted the diversity of local agriculture through ten dedicated exhibitorsโCVACO, Mangnao Canal Farmers Association, MAUNFAI, LOPANFA, BAFA, Lynsi Food Products, Cher Cacao Manufacturing, Benโs Hydroponics, Sofia Lettuce, and Zhavs Pineapple Marmalade. This selection was further enhanced by the DTI Diskwento Caravan, where Prince Hypermart provided essential retail goods at reduced prices for the benefit of the residents.
The event was graced by Engr. Jose Albert A. Barrogo, whose inspirational address underscored the power of inter-agency cooperation in fortifying the local economy.
The initiative expanded beyond a simple marketplace, featuring an educational seminar on the Price Act led by Mr. Bernard R. Limbaga. Additionally, a focused orientation for the Young Farmers Challenge (YFC) was conducted by Ms. Ellen Baynosa, followed by a strategic session of the YFC Federation of Negros Oriental headed by Mr. Bernard Limbaga, Sibulan Municipal Agriculturist Mr. Rully Orcullo, and Tanjay City Agriculturist Mr. Gumersindo Sarao.
This effort serves as a vital catalyst for the next generation, motivating the youth to view agriculture and fisheries as viable, sustainable careers for the future. Through the Kadiwa ng Pangulo framework, the government effectively bridges the gap between state services and the citizenry, fostering food stability and supporting local entrepreneurs.
The success of this undertaking was made possible through the steadfast leadership and vision of Municipal Mayor Jose "Pepe" Abiera. We also extend our deepest gratitude to Hon. Jose Sandino Abiera, Hon. Felix Deputado, and Hon. Marcela Bartoces, whose unwavering support and commitment to agricultural development continue to empower our local farming community and ensure the inclusive growth of Sibulan.
