IN PHOTOS: BEYOND THE BARS: A HEART BIGGER THAN A HOME

The Calamba City Jail Male Dormitory, spearheaded by JSUPT MIGUEL LANGCAUON, together with the PNPA MASIDTALAK JAIL CADETS of CL 2023 and jail personnel, conducted outreach program at BAHAY NI MARIA, as the city jail constantly give their helping hand and health support for abandoned elderly with specials needs.

BAHAY NI MARIA is a residential care institution that provides services for abandoned, neglected, lost, and unattached senior persons with temporary shelter, programs, and assistance.

The Jail family together with PNPA MASIDTALAK JAIL CADETS of CL 2023 extend their hearts to brings growth to the diverse need of the aging population and connects youth with seniors in our community.

DAY 4: Cadet Attachment Program (CAP)- Phase 2, January 19, 2023(Thursday)
JAIL IMMERSION
Jail Cadets of PNPA MASIDTALAK Class of 2023 rendered courtesy call to JDIR ALLAN SULLANO IRAL, Chief BJMP and also to the BJMP National Headquarters Command Group, JCSUPT RUEL S RIVERA, Deputy Chief for Administration of the Jail Bureau, JCSUPT DENNIS U ROCAMORA, Deputy Chief for Operations of the Jail Bureau and JCSUPT PAULINO H MORENO JR, Officer-in-Charge, Office of the Chief of Directorial Staff of the Jail Bureau.

DAY 2: Cadet Attachment Program (CAP)- Phase 2, January 18, 2023(Wednesday)
JAIL IMMERSION
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrived in the afternoon to conduct surprise inspection of dormitories inside Calamba City Jail. The PDEA is responsible for efficient law enforcement of all provisions on any dangerous drugs or precursors and essential chemicals as provided in R.A 9165. The PDEA is the number one anti-drug law enforcement agency, responsible for searching, investigating and fighting any activities in pertaining to use, production and consumption of illegal drugs.

The PDEA has K-9 unit that is composed of trained police dogs and handler to search for illegal drugs. K-9 is an abbreviation of the word “canine” which means simply “dog”. A K-9 officer is a law enforcement officer who handles and uses the. Skills of police dogs to assist in the ex*****on of certain duties, including drug search, cadaver search, explosive or EOD search. A K-9 and K-9 officer must have good relationship with each other for them to perform their duties and responsibilities well.

​The operation was successful resulting to no illegal drugs, weapons, explosives and any contraband was found during the separate surprise greyhound inspections with the supervision of JSUPT MIGUEL D LANGCAUON, Jail Warden.

DAY 2: Cadet Attachment Program (CAP)- Phase 2, January 17, 2023(Tuesday)
JAIL IMMERSION
Jail Cadets of PNPA MASIDTALAK Class of 2023 assigned at Calamba City Jail as part of their Cadet Attachment Program (CAP), participated in daily activities including Sunning and Physical Conditioning (Zumba), joined the escorting of newly transferred PDL from Calamba City Jail to Bureau of Corrections, conducted daily greyhound and accounting of PDL ,observance of visitation of PDL and inspection of foods and unauthorized items inside the jail facilities with the supervision of JSUPT MIGUEL D LANGCAUON, Jail Warden.

Day 6 (January 14, 2023)
Jail Cadets of MASIDTALAK Class of 2023 had their International Defensive Firearm Association (IDPA) BJMP Classification duly conducted by JINSP JOHN ROMEL B MAGDALE, SJO2 Jomar O Fegarido and JO3 Godfrey C Boado at PNPA Firing Range in line with their Cadet Attachment Program.

The IDPA was founded in 1996, it is the governing body for IDPA Competition, a handgun-centric shooting sport based on simulated self-defense scenarios. The course of fire consist of three (3) challenging and austanding stages created to rest firearm proficiency skills of jail cadets as preparation and training to properly react in case of life threatening situations in real McCoy.

Jail Cadets of PNPA Masidtalak Class of 2023 had a 2 days seminar and training regarding Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) and Tactical Transport Training (TTT) conducted by JSINSP JAMES PHILIP E CABE and JO2 Oral L Agustin in line with their Cadet Attachment Program.

Jail Cadets of PNPA Masidtalak Class of 2023 had a seminar regarding Communication Protocol and Complete Staff Work (CSW) conducted by JSINSP BERNADETTE TOMAS CABE, BJMP-NHQ as resource speaker in line with their Cadet Attachment Program.

Jail Cadets of PNPA Masidtalak Class of 2023 had a seminar regarding Values Crarification, Finacial Literacy and Leadership Matter conducted by JSSUPT FULGENCIO, BRENDAN OCCIDA, Regional Director, BJMP Region 2 as resource speaker in line with their Cadet Attachment Program.
