𝗣𝗮𝗱𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗻!

To take the road less traveled is not just a choice; it is a testament to one’s courage and character.

While the 'main road' is paved with the safety of others' expectations, the road less traveled is where we find the opportunity to innovate, to lead with integrity, and to serve with a purpose that is uniquely our own. It is a path that requires the resilience to stand alone when the 'easier wrong' beckons, and the vision to see potential where others only see risk.

I believe that true 'Paglaom,' or hope, is found on this very road. By daring to be different, we don't just find ourselves—we pave the way for others to follow. Because at the end of the journey, it is not the comfort of the path that defines us, but the lives we touched and the change we inspired by simply daring to walk it.

San Fernando, Cebu – What started as a routine afternoon turned into a high-risk confrontation when personnel of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 7 (RMFB7) responded to a shooting incident on March 21, 2026, at Sitio Boloc-boloc, Barangay Sangat.

At around 4:00 P.M., RMFB7 operatives, led by PCPT Rodney A Bantolo under the supervision of PLTCOL Paterno Lagao Domondon Jr.,Force Commander immediately conducted a joint response with the San Fernando Municipal Police Station, 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, Naga City Police Station, and Carcar City Police Station.

Prior to their arrival, the suspect had already shot and killed a local vendor engaged in lawful livelihood, prompting an urgent law enforcement response.

Upon reaching the area, operatives encountered the armed suspect barricaded inside a residence who opened fire at responding units. Despite the danger, RMFB7 personnel executed controlled tactical maneuvers to contain the threat, secure the area, and ensure the safety of nearby civilians.

During the exchange of gunfire, Patrolman Kim Villariaza sustained a gunshot wound to the chest. Despite his injury, he refused to withdraw and continued assisting in securing the perimeter, showing exceptional courage and dedication to duty.

As the operation progressed, the suspect set his residence on fire and refused to surrender. The fire quickly engulfed the structure, leading authorities to believe that the suspect perished inside. Investigation and clearing operations are ongoing.

Patrolman Villariaza was immediately evacuated and brought to Carcar City District Hospital, and was later transferred to Chong Hua Hospital, where he is currently receiving medical treatment and remains under observation..

This incident highlights the courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment of RMFB7 personnel who continue to risk their lives to protect the community.

RMFB7 remains steadfast—ready to serve and protect at all times.

Yesterday, marked the 6th Recognition Rites Anniversary of PNPA Alab Kalis, Class of 2022, a moment that brings us back to one of the most awaited milestones in the Academy—the traditional handshake of an upperclassman. More than a gesture, this handshake symbolized acceptance, recognition, and the passing of responsibility from those who came before us. It affirmed that we had endured, learned, and were finally welcomed as true members of the Corps of Cadets.

Our class name, ALAB KALIS — Alagad ng Batas na Kakalingan sa Sinilangang Bayan — captures the essence of that moment. It represents the fire ignited within us to serve, and the sword we carry in defense of law and justice, always guided by compassion for the people and unwavering loyalty to the nation.

Six years on, the meaning of that handshake lives on in our service. As we continue to stand firm — tempered by discipline, driven by purpose, and committed to honor, service, and country.
