What a memorable day for our Iskolar readers!
Our heartfelt thanks to Kuya Jerry Catabijan, author and publisher of the storybook The Sacred Index Finger, a meaningful story that teaches children the importance of voting wisely and choosing the right leaders.
This was a historic first for Iskolar Reading Centerโour readers had the privilege of listening to the author himself read his own book during our story program. It made the story even more meaningful and inspiring for our young readers.
We are also grateful to Kuya Jerryโs entire family for spending the day with us, especially Kuya Chris Canales, who captivated our readers by reading the English version of the story.
To make the day even more special, the event concluded with a warm and delicious serving of lugaw, generously shared by Ate Via Apaliso, who chose to celebrate her birthday with our Iskolar family. Thank you, Ate Via, for your kindness and generous heart!
Moments like these remind us that it truly takes a community to raise readers. Thank you to everyone who continues to believe in our mission of building a community where children discover the joy of reading, one story at a time.
