The "SINAGLAWIN" Class of 2025 gathered at Heroes Hall to celebrate the successful completion of CAP Phase 3: Case-Based Scenario Training—a defining milestone in their journey toward becoming law enforcement officers. This momentous occasion marks the culmination of weeks of grueling mental, physical, and emotional challenges, all designed to forge resilience, sharpen decision-making under pressure, and instill the discipline and tactical expertise essential for real-world policing.

Silangan, March 6, 2025 – The Silangan Component City Police Station (CCPS) swiftly addressed a reported bomb threat in an open area, taking immediate measures to ensure public safety and prevent panic. Upon receiving the alert, Chief of Police PLTCOL EFHRAIM JON LAMPACAN and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team were promptly deployed to assess and neutralize the simulated threat, applying standard procedures in identifying and safely disposing of suspicious packages. K9 units were also utilized to enhance detection capabilities, while officers ensured the orderly evacuation of the area to prevent casualties.

In a proactive effort to enhance security and operational readiness, the Silangan Component City Police Station successfully conducted a high-intensity simulated ambush scenario, simulating an attack by a Communist Terrorist Group (CTG). This tactical exercise evaluated the ability of our personnel to respond swiftly and decisively to sudden threats, ensuring the seamless ex*****on of immediate action drills, the protection of key installations, and the effective neutralization of hostile elements, all while prioritizing civilian safety.

Through rigorous training and continuous preparedness, we strengthen our commitment to safeguarding the community against any form of aggression. Demonstrating this commitment, the station’s anti-drug operations achieved significant results later that night. At approximately 11:40 PM, authorities successfully carried out a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Zapote, Silangan City, Laguna, leading to the arrest of a street-level drug suspect known as “Waray.” The 21-year-old construction worker was apprehended after PCpl. Armstrong, acting as an undercover operative, facilitated a drug transaction.

Once the illegal exchange was confirmed, law enforcement swiftly intervened, arresting the suspect without resistance and recovering illegal substances. A thorough inventory of the confiscated evidence was conducted in adherence to proper protocols, further strengthening the case against him. This successful operation underscores the station’s relentless efforts in combating illegal drugs and ensuring a safer community.

PHASE 3 DAY 1 CASED-BASED SCENARIO

The Cadet Attachment Program (CAP) Phase 3 officially commenced with an opening ceremony, marking our transition from classroom instruction to hands-on law enforcement training. Applying what we learned from our station immersion, we established our mock police station, the Silangan Component City Police Station, which served as the center for our simulated operations.

The SINAGLAWIN Class of 2025 looks forward to CAP Phase 3: Case-Based Scenario, a critical stage in our training that immerses us in real-world law enforcement challenges. This phase enhances our decision-making, leadership, and crisis response skills while reinforcing teamwork and ethical policing. Through hands-on scenarios, they aim to develop discipline, integrity, and adaptability, preparing us for the demands of policing with a strong commitment to excellence.
