RESURGENT DRUG PERSONALITY BACK BEHIND BARS AFTER PDEA BUY-BUST OPERATION IN SIQUIJOR

‎On June 1, 2026 at around 4:37 in the afternoon, a successful buy-bust operation was conducted at Brgy SImacolong, Lazi, Siquijor which resulted in the arrest of two drug personalities identified as alias “Eric,” 46 years old, male, fisherman, and a resident of Purok Lomboy, Simacolong, Lazi , Siquijor and alias "Ernie", 22 years old, male, jobless, and a resident of Bakhaw, Brgy Catamboan, Lazi, Siquijor.

‎The operation was spearheaded by the PDEA Siquijor Provincial Office together with Lazi Municipal Station.

‎Confiscated during the operation were four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing more or less five grams of suspected shabu, with a standard value of Php 34,000.00.

‎Also recovered were the buy bust money, improvised tooter, android phone, belt bag, digital weighing scale, a pair of surgical scissors, and a motorcycle with key.

‎Charges for violation of Sections 5, 11 and 12, Article II of Republic Act 9165 are being prepared for filing in court against the suspects.

HIGH-VALUE DRUG PERSONALITY NABBED IN PDEA-LED OPERATION IN VALLADOLID, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL

‎On May 30, 2026 at around 4:44 in the afternoon, a successful buy-bust operation was conducted at Purok Kanipa-an II, Brgy Paloma, Valladolid, Negros Occidental which resulted in the arrest of one High Value Target (HVT) identified as alias “Marissa,” 54 years old, female, Jobless, and a resident of Purok Kanipa-an II, Brgy Paloma, Valladolid, Negros Occidental.

‎The operation was spearheaded by the PDEA Regional Special Enforcement Team together with PDEA NOCPO, PDEU-NIR and Valladolid MPS.

‎Confiscated during the operation were eight heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing more or less 25 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug value amounting to Php 170,000.00.

‎Also recovered were the buy bust money, a black coin purse, an Android cellular phone, and Php 3,300.00 believed to be proceeds of illegal drugs.

‎Charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 are being prepared for filing against the suspect.

PDEA NETS HIGH-VALUE TARGET IN LA LIBERTAD, NEGROS ORIENTAL

‎On May 28, 2026, at around 6:30 in the morning, a successful buy-bust operation was conducted at Brgy Martilo, La Libertad, Negros Oriental which resulted in the arrest of one High Value Target (HVT) identified as alias “Isyong,” 46 years old, male, Job Order (La Libertad LGU), and a resident of Sitio Looc, Brgy Pisong, La Libertad, Negros Oriental.

‎The operation was spearheaded by the PDEA RO-NIR Negros Oriental provincial Office together with PDEA RO-NIR Seaport Interdiction Unit, and La Libertad MPS.

‎Confiscated during the operation were 10 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing more or less 1 gram of suspected shabu with a standard drug value amounting to Php 6,800.00.

‎Also recovered were the buy bust money, a cigarette case, an Android cellular phone, and a motorcycle.

‎Charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 are being prepared for filing against the suspect.

PDEA SIU Negros Oriental Strengthens Port Security Collaboration During 1st Quarter PFSAC Meeting 2026 🤝

On May 28, 2026, at around 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon, personnel of PDEA–SIU Negros Oriental, led by IO II Christian G. Real, participated in the 1st Quarter Port Facility Security Advisory Council (PFSAC) Meeting held at the PPA Conference Room, 2nd Floor, Port Operations Building, Port of Dumaguete, Brgy. Looc, Dumaguete City.

The meeting gathered partner agencies and stakeholders to strengthen coordination and reinforce security measures within the port area in preparation for the upcoming influx of passengers for School Year 2026–2027.

Among the matters discussed were:

a. General Port Rules and Regulations;
b. Preparations for Oplan Balik Eskwela S.Y. 2026–2027, including updates on port security, peace, and order;
c. Port alley concerns such as fixing activities, ticket scalping, and 8888 complaints received by PPA;
d. Law enforcement interoperability and inter-agency coordination within the port premises;
e. Other relevant matters; and
f. Open forum.

The activity highlighted the commitment of PDEA and partner agencies to maintain a secure, orderly, and drug-free port environment through strengthened collaboration and proactive security initiatives.

⛓️ JAIL DRUG CLEARING UPDATES:

JOINT SEARCH AND SEIZURE OPERATION CONDUCTED AT NEGROS OCCIDENTAL DISTRICT JAIL FEMALE DORMITORY

⛓️ On May 28, 2026, at about 6:30 AM, personnel of PDEA RO-NIR SIU/AIU Negros Occidental, under the direct supervision of IO II Ricky A. Pacaonces, in coordination with personnel of the Negros Occidental District Jail Female Dormitory, conducted a joint search and seizure operation at the facility located in Purok Province, Brgy. Tabunan, Bago City, Negros Occidental.

The operation yielded negative results for illegal drugs and other contraband.

This activity forms part of the continuing efforts of PDEA and BJMP to strengthen security measures and sustain the implementation of a Drug-Free Jail Facility Program.
