As of 8:00 AM today, 05 October 2026, the Super Typhoon with the international name "CHOI-WAN" (formerly LPA 09h) is being monitored OUTSIDE the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.

As of 8:00 PM today, 25 September 2026, the Tropical Storm "QUEENIE" with international name "SURIGAE" (formerly LPA 09g) that is being monitored INSIDE the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has intensified into a Severe Tropical Storm.

All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.

𝙃𝙄𝙎𝙏𝙊𝙍𝙔 𝙄𝙉 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙈𝘼𝙆𝙄𝙉𝙂: Sinait successfully hosts its very first 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐉𝐄𝐂𝐓 𝐀𝐆𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐆𝐄𝐃-𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐞 Roadshow!

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC), headed by Municipal Mayor Glenn B. Guzman, successfully conducted PROJECT AGTALGED: Multi-Hazard Disaster Preparedness, Lectures, and Emergency Drills – Fire Square Roadshow 2026 at Sinait West Central School. This groundbreaking activity marks the very first of its kind in our Municipality! This activity was funded by the Local Government of Sinait under Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund.

The event was actively participated in by our enthusiastic Grade 4, 5, and 6 learners, who stepped up to become real-life safety advocates. By bringing these vital drills straight to our youth, we are arming our children and our entire community with the knowledge, hands-on skills, and calm presence of mind needed to face any emergency head-on. 💪

We extend our deepest gratitude to our incredible partner agencies and departments for sharing their time and valuable expertise: Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Municipal Health Office (MHO), Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Sevices Administration (PAGASA) and Municip Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO).

Together, we are building a safer, more resilient, and well-prepared Sinait! 🌟

As of 8:00 AM today, 18 September 2026, Severe Tropical Storm with international name "DUJUAN" (formerly LPA 09d) is being monitored OUTSIDE the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Another Low Pressure Area (LPA 09f) is being monitored OUTSIDE the PAR and is "UNLIKELY" to develop into a Tropical Depression within the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the Low Pressure Area (LPA 09e) which is being monitored INSIDE the PAR has dissipated.
