OPT Plus: Strengthening child health and nutrition through growth monitoring and promotion.

Operation Timbang Plus is a nationwide initiative led by the the National Nutrition Council through the local government units that aims to assess the nutritional status and growth of children aged 0–59 months. This program plays a vital role in identifying undernutrition, overweight, and other health risks at an early stage through regular weight and height monitoring.

By collecting accurate data on children’s growth, Operation Timbang Plus helps guide LCEs to select appropriate interventions such as nutrition programs, health services, and community-based support. More than just a weighing activity, it is a proactive effort to promote proper nutrition, prevent malnutrition, and ensure that every child has the opportunity to grow healthy, strong, and ready for a brighter future. Through the cooperation of parents, health and nutrition workers, schools, and local government units, Operation Timbang Plus strengthens community awareness and commitment toward building healthier generations.
