ATE AI TURNS OVER NEW SCHOOL BUILDING TO DIONGAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

Last November 5, 2025, we had the privilege of inaugurating the new school building worth Php 5 million, dedicated to the hardworking teaching staff and students of Diongan National High School, located in Brgy. Diongan, Municipality of Siayan, Zamboanga del Norte.

At the same time, Cong. Ate Ai Labadlabad also brought smiles to the children by giving away cute stuffed toys and umbrellas to our youth as part of her birthday celebration tradition.

"ATE AI" Attends Pasadi (Pasko Sa Dipolog) Opening and Lights-On Ceremony

Congresswoman Irene "Ate Ai" Labadlabad participated in the opening of PASADI, or Pasko Sa Dipolog, and the Lights-On Christmas Ceremony last night, December 4, 2025, at Dipolog City Hall grounds.

With nostalgic Christmas carols and various performances by talented Dipolognons, everyone was also wowed by the 15-minute fireworks display that lit up the night even more.

In attendance at the said celebration were Zamboanga del Norte’s provincial governor, Hon. Darel Dexter Uy; Dapitan City Mayor Evelyn Uy; and Dipolog Mayor Berto Uy, Second District Board Members, and Sangguniang Bayan Members of Dipolog.

"ATE AI" HANDS OVER NEW 5 UNIT SCHOOL BUILDING TO MANGILAY ELEM. SCHOOL AND CONTINUED HER BIRTHDAY GIFT-GIVING FESTIVITIES.

Second District Representative Irene "Ate Ai" Labadlabad presided over the turnover and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Five-Unit School Building of Mangilay II Elementary School, worth P7 million, situated in Brgy. Mangilay, Siayan, Zamboanga del Norte, on November 03, 2025.

Congresswoman Irene received a warm welcome from the teaching staff and students of the aforementioned school. The students were also pleased to receive colorful umbrellas from "Ate Ai" as part of her birthday celebration 🫰🏼

In her address, Congresswoman Irene expressed her gratitude to the faculty and staff of Mangilay II Elementary School for their dedication despite the distance of the school from the Municipal proper. She further reiterated her dedication to supporting and addressing the shortage of classrooms across all public schools within the Second District.

Attending alongside Congresswoman Irene were Siayan Mayor Hon. Ali Bongcawel, Sangguniang Bayan Members, and district supervisors from the Department of Education.

CONG. IRENE TOUCHES CHILDREN'S HEARTS ON HER BIRTHDAY

Congresswoman Irene "Ate Ai" Labadlabad celebrated her 32nd birthday by giving gifts for the students of Sta. Cruz Elementary School, Brgy. Olingan, Dipolog City, on October 25, 2025.

The event brought joy to children as they received stuffed toys and colorful umbrellas, along with a tasty meal. The smiles on their faces and the warm energy from students and teachers made the day memorable.

In her speech, “Ate Ai” expressed that this birthday was particularly meaningful and renewed her commitment to serve her district. She thanked the school staff for their hospitality.

The barangay council from Brgy. Olingan and members of the United Youth Movement of Dipolog City also attended, highlighting their shared commitment to supporting the youth.

LOOK: CONG. IRENE HONOR TEACHERS IN NATIONAL TEACHERS’ MONTH CELEBRATION

Recognizing the vital role of teachers across generations, Congresswoman Irene "Ate Ai" G Labadlabad joined the Department of Education, Dipolog City Division in their Teacher's Month Celebration with the theme “My Teacher, My Hero: Gurong Pilipino, Gabay sa Aral, Kaagapay sa Kinabukasan,” the event was held on Friday, October 3, 2025 at the Zamboanga del Norte Convention Center, Estaka, Dipolog City.

In her message, Cong. Irene honored teachers as modern-day heroes and second parents who nurture students with both lessons and values.

She also praised teachers’ dedication and passion, calling them not only mentors but also beacons of hope who guide lives with compassion and wisdom, highlighting the perseverance and compassion that have shaped generations of learners and leaders.

As a member of the Appropriations Committee, I witness a clear depiction of what it means to fulfill the true essence of our mandate as representatives.

On Thursday, the Appropriations Committee, through the leadership of Honorable Rep. Mika Suansing, announced the allocation of ₱12.3B to address the deficit for SUCs (₱7.8B will come from CHED’s Higher Education Development Fund, and the remainder will be funded through Congress’s GAA). ₱9.8B will also be allocated for Tertiary Education Subsidy and Tulong Dulong Program.

It was a collaborative effort that led to the swift action to address the pressing needs of our students! I’m proud to be part of such a meaningful moment ❤️🫰🏼
