SUMMER CLINIC 2026 – THE RECITAL 🎶🏀🎨

A vibrant celebration of talent, passion, and dedication unfolded during the Culmination Day of Summer Clinic 2026 held at the Sindangan People’s Cultural and Sports Center on May 26, 2026.

Young participants proudly showcased the skills they developed throughout the summer in various fields such as Basketball, Volleyball, Football, Boxing, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Pickleball, Chess, Swimming, Drums, Piano/Keyboard, Guitar, Rondalla, Painting/Drawing, Voice Lessons, and Social Dancing. Their performances reflected not only talent but also discipline, confidence, teamwork, and determination nurtured during the clinic.

The event was graced by distinguished local officials who expressed their unwavering support for youth development and sports advancement in the municipality:

LOOK: The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Regional Office IX, alongside the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), officially spearheaded the Activation of the Upper Inuman Fire Sub-Station and the Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) in Barangay Inuman, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte.

The milestone event was graced by key regional and local officials, including BFP 9 Regional Director FCSUPT Jerry D. Candido, DSC, Provincial Fire Marshal FSUPT Richard C. Timosa, DSC, Municipal Mayor Hon. Glona G. Labadlabad, and Vice Mayor Florentino Boy Sy.

This activation marks a significant step forward in boosting the locality's emergency response capabilities, ensuring a safer, well-protected, and more resilient community for the residents of Barangay Inuman and surrounding areas.

In her message, Mayor Glona G. Labadlabad, emphasized that the establishment of the Sindangan campus was a strategic move to make quality higher education accessible by removing the financial and personal barriers of traveling far from home. She noted that these honors are a shared achievement, made possible through the discipline of the students, the sacrifices of their families, and the guidance of their educators.

The Mayor further challenged the honorees to view their education as a responsibility, urging them to apply their knowledge in ways that create a concrete impact on their families and the local community. A significant milestone for the Municipality of Sindangan as the blessing of the newly purchased fire truck was successfully held, symbolizing the Local Government Unit’s continued commitment to strengthening public safety, emergency response, and disaster preparedness for the people of the municipality.

Leading the activity were Mayor Glona Labadlabad together with Vice Mayor Florentino “Boy” Sy, alongside officials from the Bureau of Fire Protection headed by Fire Superintendent Richard C. Timosa, Fire Inspector Francis Carl T. Paulite, and SFO1 Benjie C. Dadan.

The newly acquired fire truck is expected to greatly enhance the capability of the municipality in responding to fire incidents and other emergencies, ensuring faster and more efficient service to the community. This initiative reflects the dedication of the local government in prioritizing the safety and welfare of every Sindanganon through improved emergency equipment and strengthened coordination with the Bureau of Fire Protection.

The blessing ceremony also served as a reminder of the importance of unity and preparedness in protecting lives, properties, and communities. Through the strong partnership between the LGU and BFP, Sindangan continues to move forward toward a safer and more resilient municipality for all.

LOOK | Kiara Angela Forrosuelo to represent the Municipality of Sindangan in the Saulog Queen 2026 competition this June

As the Province of Zamboanga del Norte gears up for the grand celebration of SAULOG SA BAG-ONG ZANORTE 2026, excitement continues to build for the week-long festivities set on June 1–6, 2026 in Dipolog City. Among the most anticipated highlights of the celebration is the prestigious Saulog Queen 2026 competition.

Representing the proud Municipality of Sindangan is none other than Ms. Kiara Angela Maagad Forrosuelo, a stunning and empowered 20-year-old beauty from Brgy. Bantayan.

Kiara is currently taking up Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy at Cebu Doctors' University and is planning to shift in the field of Tourism, where she continues to embody beauty with intelligence, grace, and determination. Beyond her charm and elegance, she represents the aspirations and pride of every Sindanganon who believes in the strength and potential of the youth.

In preparation for the prestigious pageant, Kiara, together with her dedicated handlers, Mr. Marven Dagondong, Mr. Lito Pacaldo, and Mr. Raven Padecio, choreographer of the Saulog Street Dance and Cultural Dance Showdown of Sindangan paid a courtesy call to Sindangan’s Local Chief Executive, Mayor Glona Labadlabad, seeking her blessing and official approval to represent the municipality on the provincial stage. Also present during the visit were Ma’am Charme Dominise, HRMO, and Mr. Allwin Tubat, the Acting Tourism Officer of Sindangan.

With the unwavering support of the local government and the people of Sindangan, Kiara steps into the spotlight carrying not only a sash, but also the hopes, culture, and spirit of a municipality proud of its heritage and empowered by its future.

On May 06, 2026, the National Authority for Child Care (NACC) Regional Alternative Child Care Office for Region IX (Zamboanga Peninsula) conducted the NLP Orientation and Ceremonial MOA Signing. Held at the Mayor's Office Municipal Hall in Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte, the event gathered key officials and stakeholders to strengthen child care initiatives in the region.

The program featured comprehensive sessions and official ceremonies, including:

• Policy Overviews: Detailed presentations on Republic Act No. 11642, which established the NACC as a one-stop, quasi judicial agency attached to the DSWD. The act aims to provide simpler and more streamlined processes for domestic and inter-country adoption, foster care, and kinship care.

• Foundling Protection: Discussion on the salient points of RA 11767 (Foundling Recognition and Protection Act), emphasizing that foundlings must be provided with alternative child care options such as kinship or foster care while searches for their biological parents are ongoing.

• Key Speakers: Insights were shared by Dr. Jaylin DC. Sahipa (OIC Regional Head, RACCO IX), Rosalie Casinillo (Head, MSWDO Sindangan), and Hon. Glona G. Labadlabad (Municipal Mayor).

• Ceremonial Signing: The event culminated in the formal NLP MOA Signing, solidifying the partnership between the NACC and the Local Government Unit (LGU) to prioritize the best interests of children in the community.

The NACC remains committed to its mandate of ensuring every child is provided with a loving and permanent family through "expeditious, inexpensive, and streamlined" administrative processes.

What a night to remember at the Sindangan Music Feast 2026 held yesterday, May 2, 2026! 🎶

The celebration opened with an energetic performance from the Sindangan LGU Band, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening of music and entertainment. The crowd also enjoyed amazing performances from our guest bands: Quick Set Go from Dumingag, ZDS, Beyond Acoustic from Dipolog City, Sharp HD from Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, and The Northside from North Cotabato.

Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated with us. Your energy made the event even more special. Here’s to more music, unity, and unforgettable moments in Sindangan!
